It’s always a pleasure to visit Neabsco Baptist Church. I had the honor of presenting a Congressional Record commending their weekly Community Food Giveaway Program.
This program provides meals to neighbors in need and reflects the compassion and generosity that strengthen our community.

Last week, I joined @kaine.senate.gov and Supervisor Andrea Bailey for a tour of the Prince William County Crisis Receiving Center.
This facility provides intensive services for those experiencing mental health and substance use disorder emergencies. I’m thankful for the work they do.
Let's be clear — an order to give "no quarter" means to take no prisoners and execute soldiers who try to surrender.
It is a violation of the law of war and the Geneva Conventions.
As a former Army JAG who trained soldiers on the law of war, it is clear that Secretary Hegseth must go.
🚨I’m proud that my team has returned more than $5 MILLION in backlogged tax refunds, Social Security checks, VA benefits, and more to residents in the Seventh District.
If you are facing an issue with a federal agency, please reach out to my office. We are here to help!
Trump began this war of choice and gas prices are skyrocketing because of it.
Now he’s demanding that seven other countries send warships to reopen the Strait of Hormuz to make up for his mistakes.
The American people are hurting and Trump expects other countries to bail him out.
Putin gave Iran intelligence that could help target American forces and bases in the Middle East.
President Trump responded by easing sanctions on Russian oil.
Rewarding Russia for putting U.S. troops at risk is unacceptable.
I’ve trained hundreds of soldiers on the law of war — our service members have an obligation to follow that law. (2/2)
Former Army JAG here. No quarter orders are a violation of the law of war and Geneva conventions.
This is the same order reportedly given during the Caribbean boat strikes. Secretary Hegseth is establishing a pattern of issuing illegal orders. (1/2)
NEWS: I secured $250,000 to improve roadway safety along Leeland Road in Stafford County. I was proud to secure this federal funding, which will...
🚘Reduce traffic congestion
🚲Improve cyclist access
🚶♂️➡️Enhance pedestrian safety
Smart, targeted investments in our physical infrastructure are investments in our future.
It was great to join local leaders at the Historic Spotsylvania Courthouse to celebrate the more than $1 million in federal funding I secured to support critical roadway upgrades in Spotsylvania County.
I joined Dumfries Mayor Derrick Wood, Town Manager Tangela Innis, and local leaders to deliver $1,200,000 to stabilize Quantico Creek.
These funds will reduce flood risks for neighborhoods, protect local property, and safeguard the health of the Chesapeake Bay watershed.
My thoughts are with the loved ones of the U.S. service members who were killed or injured during the KC-135 refueling mission in Iraq.
Their deaths bring the total number of Americans lost since the war began to eleven. Their sacrifice is a solemn reminder of the true cost of war.
Tonight, my thoughts are with his family, friends, students, and all who knew him.
I am thankful for the heroism of the brave ROTC cadets who neutralized the attacker and prevented further tragedy. (2/2)
I join Virginia in mourning the loss of Lt. Col. Brandon Shah, who was killed in his classroom during today’s tragic shooting at Old Dominion University.
Lt. Col. Shah was a devoted Professor of Military Science and the leader of the university's ROTC program. (1/2)
It was great to join Northern Virginia Community College Woodbridge Campus students, faculty, and staff to celebrate $250,000 in federal funds I secured to upgrade the school’s HVAC program building.
Virginia’s economy depends on a strong pipeline of skilled workers like these students.
On Tuesday, my team was glad to join local Prince William County officials to celebrate $1 MILLION in federal funding I secured to build a pedestrian bridge at the Woodbridge VRE station.
These upgrades will make it easier and safer for Virginians to access high-capacity transit.
I’m grateful to the dedicated crews who continue to work to contain the Potomac River sewage spill.
But this disaster should never have happened.
I joined my colleagues in calling for immediate authorization and funding to repair and modernize critical water systems nationwide.
I visited Central Virginia Health Services, a community-based nonprofit in Fredericksburg dedicated to making high-quality primary health care accessible to all Virginians.
Thank you to CEO Paula Tomko, Dr. Mandeville, and the Fredericksburg CVHS Staff for the tour and for sharing your mission.
In the Army, we have a saying: “Hope is not a strategy.” It’s clear the president is relying on hope instead of a real plan while American lives are at stake.
Farmers shouldn’t have to navigate piles of paperwork just to access programs that lower their energy costs.
That’s why I’m proud to champion the bipartisan REAP Modernization Act to deliver real relief for producers.
Virginia farmers deserve a process that works for them — not against them.

Alignment stats consider only votes where a clear yes/no majority existed for the legislator's party. Cross-party marks divergence where the vote matched the opposite party majority. ↔ indicates cross-party divergence.
