I cherished every day I got to call myself a Soldier—but ordering troops to intimidate the very Americans they sacrifice to protect doesn’t make us safer.   Trump is wasting millions to terrorize citizens exercising their First Amendment rights. It's wrong.
What happens now that Republicans shut down the government? - Federal workers stop getting paid - Air travel could be delayed - Food inspection services may be delayed - Head Start services may be disrupted - Passport + Visa applications could slow - National Parks may shut down

If my Republican colleagues fail to work with us, 267,000 veterans will lose their health care, according to a new report from the Urban Institute. These are Americans who put their lives on the line for our nation, who will be priced out of health care if Congress doesn’t act.
I'm about to vote on the SAME Republican budget proposal for the 6th time. Why? Instead of working with Democrats to lower health care costs, Republicans are forcing us to vote over and over again on a budget that would let 15 million Americans lose their coverage. youtube.com/shorts/FoV3B...
Housing is too expensive to build and too expensive to afford. Donald Trump's solution? Make it even MORE expensive with his chaotic tariffs. Americans can't afford Donald Trump's housing market.
Trump’s nominee to be the Army’s lawyer is confused about the First Amendment. Independent journalists must be free to report the facts without fear of retaliation. If we're sending troops to war under false pretenses, Americans have a right to know.
Graphic with Senator Warren asking: Is it consistent with the First Amendment for DOD to revoke a reporter’s press credentials for publishing a story that’s critical of President Trump?

DoD official responds: Yes... If the basis was that the person published information that was not otherwise approved for release by the Department.

Senator Warren Responds: Whoa.
@warnock.senate.gov is exactly right. Families can't afford their health insurance premiums quadrupling. Republicans would rather keep the government shut down than lower YOUR health care costs.
The CFPB has returned over $21 billion to Americans who were cheated by big banks and giant corporations. But Trump has tried to destroy the CFPB, choosing big corporations over scammed Americans. The case is in the courts now, and Democrats are united behind the CFPB.
After the shutdown during the 1st Trump admin, Congress passed a law to guarantee back pay for furloughed workers. That bill was signed into law by Donald Trump. Workers will be paid. This chaos is a distraction from Trump's failure to secure a deal to lower health care costs.
Donald Trump is deploying the military to our cities and using our servicemembers as political pawns. Americans aren't asking for this. This is about one thing: Trump's agenda of fear and chaos. Trump's authoritarian power grab must stop.
It’s long past time for the hostages to come home, to stop the bombing in Gaza, to surge humanitarian aid, and to negotiate a two-state solution and lasting peace. I pray that this is the last anniversary where families in the region are unable to be reunited with their loved ones.
Today marks 2 years since Hamas's attack on Israel, the deadliest day for the Jewish people since the Holocaust. We grieve for those killed and their families.
On top of ripping away Americans' health care, Donald Trump is using this shutdown to hurt federal workers. Federal workers like this one, who told me her story after being needlessly fired earlier this year, deserve so much better.
Guess how many times Republicans have tried to negotiate with Democrats to save health care? None. Zero. Not once. Republicans would rather shut down the government than lower health care costs.
Donald Trump is plotting to cut Social Security benefits for older Americans — after he promised during the campaign that he wouldn’t touch Social Security. We must call it out and stop these cuts.
