Wishing Rhode Islanders a very Merry Christmas!🎄
‘Twas the night before Christmas and all through #RI01,
Rhode Islanders were gathering together for the holidays – in fun!
There’s always a Rhode Island connection — Clement Clarke Moore, the author of “The Night Before Christmas” lived in Newport.
This year’s White House Christmas ornament comes all the way from Lincoln’s Beacon Design in #RI01.
This special ornament serves as a tribute to President Carter in the shape of an anchor to highlight his service in the U. S. Navy and represent hope.⚓️🎄

Rhode Islanders, we love hearing from you!
Since being sworn in, we’ve responded to more than 13,000 letters, calls, and emails from constituents all across the First Congressional District.
Make your voice heard by going to amo.house.gov/contact
Had a great time with the Chad Brown Alumni Association, RI State Police, Providence Housing Authority, and La Salle Academy Lacrosse celebrating the holiday season and giving out toys today in Providence!
Glad that the Senate passed the #SocialSecurityFairnessAct last night to repeal penalties that rob educators, first responders, and other public service workers of their Social Security.
Looking forward to seeing this essential legislation signed into law!
Congressman Gabe Amo statement on voting to keep government open:
Government shutdowns *always* affect working-class families the most — whether it’s missed paychecks, longer lines at the airport, or suspended services and programs.
Blowing up a funding deal to please an out-of-touch billionaire is a slap in the face to the American people.
Congressman Gabe Amo statement on looming Republican Government Shutdown:
House GOP walked away from a bipartisan deal.
This is a last-minute Hail Mary that guts health care for kids to please the richest man on the planet.
It’s a no from me. We deserve better.
Servicemembers and federal workers going without pay, long TSA lines, spotty food safety inspections, and general chaos seem to be on the House GOP Christmas list.
We wouldn't be in this mess if Republicans hadn't bowed to Elon Musk and Donald Trump.
1️⃣ Day
8️⃣Hours
until House GOP temper tantrum shuts down the government.
In Rhode Island, this would mean:
8,801 federal employees furloughed or forced to work without pay 🚫
7,600 unpaid active duty/reserve servicemembers 🎖️
and that’s just the beginning…⏰
In case you needed further proof of which side is which:
House GOP = taking marching orders from the world’s wealthiest person
House Democrats = fighting to keep government open and pay our troops through the holidays
This week, the House AI task force published their long-awaited report.
One of their recommendations?
Investing in AI literacy for K-12 students — a key provision of my bipartisan LIFT AI Act with Congressman Kean Jr. (NJ-07)
ICYMI: I joined @iandonnis.bsky.social last week to share happenings in my first year in office and my focus on holding the next Administration accountable, addressing Americans’ priorities, and making our voices heard in the next Congress.

Following the recent RI Bridges cyberattack, I joined @reed.senate.gov, @whitehouse.senate.gov, and @magaziner.house.gov in urging the federal government to help Rhode Islanders enrolled in critical affected programs like SNAP and Medicaid continue to secure their benefits.
Joined faith and community leaders last night to celebrate the Christmas season at the King’s Tabernacle Royal Banquet.
Thank you to Pastor Chris for bringing us together for a great evening!

In this season of giving, I joined Hearts of Kindness, the Unity Project, and Cape Verdean American Community Development in Pawtucket to give away toys and spread holiday cheer!
Thank you to the dedicated team at Community Angels who worked around the clock to bring smiles to the faces of more than 3,000 children and families today at their toy giveway!
