LIVE NOW AND THE REST OF THE DAY: Hear the truth about the looming Republican shutdown. Health care experts & House Democrats explain why extending health care coverage credits is vital to keep care affordable, and why Democrats are fighting to keep government open. https://bit.ly/473RrwM
Last night I joined the @DemWomenCaucus “Ask Us Anything” livestream to talk about the threat of a Republican shutdown. Our conversation focused on protecting your health care. Democrats are working to keep the government open and make sure care stays affordable. For more👉🏽: https://bit.ly/3WfYEUh
Without action, Affordable Care Act health care premiums soar in Jan. ACA credits keep insurance costs lower, and Democrats are fighting to extend them. Today Team Beatty shared what’s at stake during Mobile Office Hours. See what losing ACA credits could cost YOU 👉🏽 : https://bit.ly/3Qk16X5
Solving America’s housing crisis takes a collaborative, whole-of-government approach. I'm co-sponsoring bipartisan legislation with @RepDeLaCruz requiring HUD, USDA & VA to share housing data to accelerate affordable housing solutions.. Read more here: https://t.co/acl4egWFgD
Happy Rosh Hashanah! 🍎🍯 Wishing all who celebrate this holiday a sweet, joyful, and prosperous new year. May this season bring peace, reflection, and fresh beginnings. Shanah Tovah! ✨
On the Capitol steps with my Democratic colleagues standing against the cruel and costly Republican funding bill, that fails to protect health care for everyday Americans. We refuse to bend the knee to Trump’s billionaire buddies for yet another reckless Republican assault on health care.
I enjoyed spending time with our Fall 2025 DC Interns, exploring the Capitol and hearing about their professional aspirations. Raising our next generation of political leaders, is one of my favorite parts of the job. Thank you, Fall interns, for everything you do to advance our democracy!
Republicans are ready to let health care tax credits expire, driving up costs for families. If these credits matter to you, now is the time to speak up. In the meantime, Democrats are fighting to protect them as we look to fund the government.
Hunger ends where compassion begins.” This #HungerActionMonth, I’m grateful for the Mid-Ohio Food Collective and food security advocates in Ohio and nationwide working to feed families. Consider how you can help your neighbors facing empty plates and then ACT. Your help is needed now more than ever.
Today, the Democrat members of the Financial Services Committee, gathered with Dr. Lael Brainard to discuss the importance of an independent, and nonpartisan FED, which is vital for our economy. As the FED continues to operate, we will continue to advocate for its continued independence.
I was happy to meet with the PNC Regional Presidents for Ohio to discuss workforce development, job retention, housing solutions, and how we can continue to support our local banks.
This week, my bill, H.R. 3234, the Keeping Deposits Local Act, passed unanimously through FSC markup. This bill will free up capital for MDIs, CDFIs, and rural banks to lend to small businesses, homebuyers, and nonprofits. Promoting small banks leads to local economic lift.
ICYMI: I returned as Honorary Co-Chair of the Women’s Faces of Courage Conference—reaffirming my fight for women and families against Trump’s One Big Ugly Bill that slashes health care and vital services for them and so many other Ohioans.

On the 62nd Anniversary of the bombing at 16th Street Baptist Church, we remember the lives lost during the civil rights movement and the ongoing fight to combat hatred. May the tragedy that took place on that day serve as a reminder that political and racialized violence is never the answer.
I was honored to meet with Team Franklin County following Joy Bivens’ powerful testimony before the House Agriculture Subcommittee on Nutrition & Foreign Agriculture. She represented our community with distinction as she spoke on improving SNAP for families nationwide.
Please see my statement on yesterday's events.
This morning, on the 24th anniversary of 9/11, we remember the deadly terrorist attack that forever changed the fabric of our nation. 8:46am that day changed us forever. I'm remembering all the lives lost, the brave first responders, and all who continue to be impacted by this tragedy.
Today I moved to subpoena the Treasury Dept. for all unredacted Epstein financial records after Treasury Secretary Bessent still refused to release them to Sen. Wyden. We are following the money. Republicans blocked it. The American people deserve transparency. Epstein’s victims deserve justice.
Proud to see Joy Bivens of Franklin County testify at @houseagdems.bsky.social
Subcommittee on Nutrition & Foreign Agriculture’s first hearing this Congress, on State Options in SNAP—lifting up not just Franklin Cty and Ohio, but counties nationwide representing the National Assoc. of Counties.
