Now, the Trump Administration and Elon Musk are planning to lay off HALF of the Social Security workforce. That means fewer people to process checks, longer delays, and seniors left waiting for the benefits they earned. This isn’t "saving" Social Security – it’s dismantling it.

🚨 Republicans lied – again!
They said they wouldn’t cut Medicaid. They said they wouldn’t touch Social Security.
Dreamers know no other home. Their #HomeIsHere, and we must fight to protect them. It's time for Congress to pass the American Dream and Promise Act and ensure that these incredible young people are given the security, dignity, and rights they deserve.
They have earned the opportunity to build a future here – one where they can live without fear and pursue their #AmericanDream.
These young people, who came to this country as children, have grown up here, worked here, and contributed immensely to every aspect of our society. They strengthen our communities and make this nation better in so many ways.
Dreamers are our neighbors, our teachers, our doctors, our entrepreneurs, and small business owners. They are integral parts of the fabric that makes up the heart of our communities. I am proud to stand with our Dreamers and fight for their future because their success is our success.

Make no mistake – @housedemocrats.bsky.social will always stand with the American people and fight to protect their healthcare.
Every single House Democrat voted to protect Medicaid and against the Republicans' budget scheme. Faced with that same choice, House Republicans chose far-right extremism over the well-being of everyday Americans.
This reckless Republican budget is an outright betrayal of the American people, and I will continue to fight alongside House Democrats to protect the quality of life of America’s working families.
House Republicans voted to raise health care premiums by almost $3,000/year for the 38,000 people in our district who receive coverage under the Affordable Care Act. House Republicans also voted to slash food and nutrition assistance funding for 35,000 people in our district.
Last night, House Republicans sold out the American people. By voting for the largest Medicaid cut in our nation’s history, over 200,000 people on Medicaid in our district are now at risk of losing their health care.
We will not give in to any compromise that puts politics over people. I voted no on this reckless and misguided resolution, and I will continue working with my colleagues to defeat this budget and restore our commitment to fairness and opportunity for all.
House Republicans have proven that they are willing to throw their own constituents under the bus for political gain and capital with Donald Trump. House Democrats will not stay silent in the face of this appalling disregard for the lives and livelihoods of American families.
This proposal forces even more middle-class families to live paycheck to paycheck, especially hurting those who rely on Medicaid, nutritional assistance programs, and veterans benefits.
Their proposed budget gives trillions in tax cuts to the wealthiest people and corporations in our country, and it makes devastating cuts to programs that provide critical support to everyday Americans.
In their fervor to be in good graces with Trump and Musk, House Republicans are punting an immense burden onto hard-working families.
Instead, this budget is a blatant scheme designed by House Republicans to line the pockets of wealthy donors, support big corporations, and appease the authoritarian whims of President Trump and Elon Musk – an unelected, unvetted, and unaccountable billionaire.
I am deeply disappointed in my Republican colleagues who continue to fail the American people and voted to advance such a shameful and self-serving budget resolution. This resolution does not seek to set responsible parameters for government spending.
This vigil was not only a moment to reflect, but also to remember and renew our resolve to protect the democratic values we hold dear.
Together, we stand with Ukraine.
