I’m incredibly saddened to hear of President Biden’s prostate cancer diagnosis, but anyone who knows him knows that he’s tough as nails. I’m praying for a swift and full recovery.
House Republicans’ budget will bury seniors, kids, and people with disabilities in so much red tape that many will lose their health care.
That is INTENTIONAL.
This is Republicans’ cruel strategy to pay for more tax cuts for the rich.
Republicans’ Medicaid cuts could cause OVER 21,000 AVOIDABLE DEATHS.
It’s pointless. It’s cruel.
It’s all to give billionaires and corporations a bigger tax break.
It was great to meet these students from Triple V, a youth-led nonprofit empowering future leaders in San Diego. I’m so proud and inspired to see young people like them interested in public service.
Trump is willing to spend $45 MILLION for a birthday military parade while his Administration GUTS the Department of Veterans Affairs because of "waste."
I can think of 45 million better ways to spend that money.
Please join me on Monday, May 19th at 7pm PT for a telephone town hall!
Hear updates about how I’m fighting to protect Medi-cal, Cal-Fresh, and other life-saving programs from House Republicans’ cuts and how we’re working to hold President Trump accountable.

This is beyond disturbing – women aren’t incubators.
We deserve dignity, autonomy, and human rights.
I was glad to join the San Diego River Park Foundation for their River Days Walk for Wildlife! In San Diego, we’re so lucky to live alongside abundant wildlife and natural beauty. But we ALL–individuals, companies, and governments–have a responsibility to protect and preserve it.
Republicans’ plan to gut Medicaid means more rural hospitals will close and more people will die.
The “Department of Government Efficiency” has put up so much unnecessary red tape that critical work has ground to a halt.
House Republicans are working to reverse clean-energy jobs and investments in their own districts to pay for tax cuts for the rich. 🤦♀️
Let’s talk efficiency: for every $1 we invest in primary care, we save $13 in the long run. Access to primary care saves money and LIVES.
That’s why I was excited to celebrate La Maestra Community Health Centers’ 35 years of service to our community.
House Republicans are willing to make more kids hungry in order to pay for their tax cuts for the rich.
Climate change: *is happening*
Trump Administration: *closes eyes*
You don’t need me to tell you that the cost of living is WAY too high, but NO ONE should have to make $258k a year to buy a house.
San Diego is a beautiful place to live, but we HAVE to make it and our country more affordable.
It was so great to meet the child care providers and these kids at Children’s Choice El Cajon. I heard from their team about how Congress can better support providers and ensure EVERYONE has access to affordable child care.
DOGE’s cuts to IRS auditors will allow billionaires and corporations to get away with tax avoidance schemes while the rest of America faces life-altering cuts to Medicaid, Social Security, education, and rising costs due to Trump’s tariffs.
Need another reason to delete DOGE? They’re being careless with your data.
It’s National Small Business Week! We have SO many amazing local small businesses in San Diego to celebrate — here are a few I visited recently!
