I have long said that we need to pass the Supplemental aid package requested by the President without delay and without harmful political showboating. America’s commitment to Liberty and to humanitarian purpose should not be held hostage by a few extremists with narrow political agendas.
Safe and secure neighborhoods are the anchor for communities. Thank you so much to federal, state, and local officials for coming together to curb violent crime and root out drug distribution. I’ll continue to fight for resources for the brave men and women in law enforcement.
The situation at our southern border requires action now, not a year from now. While some choose to play politics, I'm proud to continue working across party lines to find bipartisan solutions.
In 2022 I helped pass the Inflation Reduction Act — without a single vote from House Republicans. This groundbreaking legislation capped monthly insulin costs at $35 a month for Medicare recipients — now NW Ohio Seniors are seeing a $480 annual savings on their insulin costs.
Thank you President Biden for restating your commitment to the safety and well being of the people of East Palestine and Northern Ohio, and for keeping the focus on holding Norfolk Southern accountable.
The United States must maintain its commitment to defeating the spiderweb of tyranny and terror whenever it rears its ugly head against our people, our military, and our allies — wherever that may be. May God bless and protect our men and women in Liberty’s red, white, and blue.
This week I voted to pass the bipartisan Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act which: 🔹Cuts taxes for working families and small businesses 🔹Helps the middle class keep up with rising costs 🔹Expands Child Tax Credit benefits for 41,000 children across NW Ohio
Excited to announce the Dept. of Energy awarded $3 Million to glass manufacturing research that includes two key partners based in NW OH, Toledo Engineering Co. and CelSian. This partnership is a major step forward for glass production moving us toward a more sustainable future!
The war between Hamas and Israel is a piercing global tragedy. It demands a global response. Yet, “Peace and Justice” have eluded solution in this troubled region for over a century. My op-ed for the Toledo Blade on how we could move forward and rebuild Gaza:
This week the Ukraine Caucus kicked off Ukrainian Week 2024: Bridging Nations, Fostering Collaboration with a press conference. Read our statement about our press conference rallying support for Ukraine and and learn more about Ukrainian Week 2024 here:
During WWII, the forces of freedom fought to end tyranny. Across the continent of Europe lay the bodies of half a million American soldiers, who sacrificed their precious lives during the last century to bequeath Liberty to our generation. We will not let Ukraine fall to tyranny.
84 years ago this week, Ida May Fuller received the first-ever Social Security check. Today, Washington Republicans want to slash Social Security, taking money from children, veterans, and older retirees. I fight day in and day out to protect your hard earned benefits!
In Perrysburg and across NW Ohio, by arming communities with tools to attract, retain, and grow small businesses, we strengthen our economy, and build a stronger region. Thanks to Ohio Sea Grant for helping to highlight the importance of small business.
It was a pleasure to meet with a WWII History class at Fremont Ross High School to discuss the importance of honoring the legacy of those who served by telling their story. As the author of legislation that created the WWII Memorial in DC, I know how important these stories are.
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services reported a record 21.3 million people selected an ACA Health Insurance plan during the 2024 Open Enrollment Period! This includes more than 5 million people new to the ACA exchange marketplace and 16 million who renewed their coverage.
We pay solemn tribute to the 3 US soldiers killed and dozens injured today in an attack in Jordan. Their service in defense of Liberty will not be forgotten. The spiderweb of terror across this region funded by Iran and backed by Russia must not be allowed to go unchecked.
Joined the Oak Harbor Area Chamber of Commerce at the Camp Perry Conference Center on Lake Erie last night. Great to see many local business owners from across Ottawa County and NW Ohio. Special thanks to Mayor Quinton Babcock and Councilman Barry Hall for the warm welcome.
