Deeply saddened by the suicide bombing at an Islamabad mosque that killed at least 31 people and injured almost 200 more.
I am thinking of the Pakistani people and praying for a full recovery for those injured. Nobody should have to life in fear of practicing their faith.
I’m relieved an arrest has been made. Those who commit these hateful, targeted acts must be held fully accountable.
I’m appalled by the recent Islamophobic attacks against Muslim New Yorkers — including a 12-year-old girl —in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. No New Yorker should ever face violence or harassment because of who they are, what they look like, or how they worship.
Antisemitism, hate, and vandalism will not be tolerated in our community.
After hearing about antisemitic graffiti at the Kew Gardens Hills Post Office, my office & Sam Berger immediately reached out to postal officials. The graffiti has been removed, the blue shelf taken out of the lobby, and management was directed to conduct regular checks to prevent future incidents.
We cannot send the 350,000 Haitians living in our communities back to these conditions. As a member of the House Haiti Caucus, I am fighting for a permanent solution to keep them safe. (2/2)
I’m relieved the courts have paused the termination of Temporary Protected Status for Haiti.
The situation in Haiti is dire. Armed gangs are displacing people. Women and girls are experiencing horrific sexual violence. (1/2)
Mobile Office Hours: 2/6
My team & I are hosting mobile office hours with Assemblymember Steven Raga on Friday, February 6, 11:00am-2:00pm at Assemble Member Raga's office in Woodside. Stop by to ask questions & receive assistance with federal agencies like the VA, IRS, Social Security, & more.
On World Cancer Day we honor survivors, remember those we've lost, and stand with every person and family affected by cancer.
It's also a critical reminder that early detection saves lives.

We cannot give them another dollar in money without real oversight and accountability.
DHS agents are killing Americans, terrorizing communities, and tearing families apart. They must follow the same standards as other law enforcement—no masks, body cameras, judicial warrants, real misconduct investigations, and clear, transparent rules on when force can be used.
My constituents in Queens have been clear: vote NO on any new funding for DHS
The Trump Administration has no business blocking free buses in NYC or anywhere. I will fight this proposal and stand with efforts to provide free, reliable transit.
Short answer: no, they haven't gone down.
Americans are paying more and getting less.
I said it loud and clear in front of ICE HQ in DC: Kristi Noem has got to go.
No federal agency is above the law. We won't stand for these lawless attacks against American citizens under her failed leadership.
It was an honor to join the General Association of Korean Vietnam Veterans of USA Lunar New Year and commencement celebration!
I’m grateful for all the work they do to support our Korean American community, and especially our Korean American veterans here in Queens.
No matter what, I’ll keep standing with the New York State Nurses Association as they fight for a fair contract—and for a healthier, safer New York for all of us.
I’m standing with NYS nurses in honor of Alex Pretti, an ICU nurse who dedicated his life to caring for vets. ICE has no place in our hospitals, schools, or churches. Its actions undermine public safety & tear at the fabric of our communities.
The agency, as it stands, must be dismantled & rebuilt.
As the top Democract on the Appropriations Subcommittee that funds the DOJ, I won’t stand by while he turns it into a tool for political retribution.
