In response to historic flooding, Texas Gov. Gregg Abbot and USDA Secretary Rollins are allowing Texans to use their SNAP benefits to buy hot foods. This should be a permanent policy nationwide.
I am praying for the families & loved ones of those tragically shot in Manhattan, including an off duty NYPD officer. There is no place for this unthinkable violence in our city. I am grateful for the first responders & law enforcement at the scene. My team & I are monitoring this situation closely.
While there has been significant progress, much work remains. We must keep advocating for equal opportunities and support for all Americans with disabilities.
Thirty-five years ago this week, the Americans with Disabilities Act became law, banning discrimination against people with disabilities in employment, transportation, and public life.
Everyone should have the ability to start their family if, when, & how they choose.
As a member of the @reprocaucus.bsky.social, I will always fight to #ProtectIVF & safeguard access to fertility care for families in Queens & across the nation.

It's hot out there, Queens!
If you're stuck in the heat, cooling centers are open. Find one near you👇

July is Disability Pride Month!
In Queens, making our public buildings & transit stations more accessible has always been a priority for me. I’m proud to stand up for people with disabilities as we continue the fight for equality & accessibility across our community.
The Administration’s tariff policy could force orange juice prices to rise by 20-25%. Families shouldn’t be paying the price for these reckless tariffs.
Republicans ran on affordability. They need to start acting on it.
Millions of dollars in contraception, medical supplies, & food are stuck in supply chains & the State Department wants to burn them.
Every Republican voted to light taxpayer dollars on fire instead of saving lives.
I proposed an amendment to the 2026 National Security funding bill to tackle waste, fraud, & abuse created by the Administration's destruction of life-saving foreign aid.
Access to public transit is critical in Queens & I’ll continue working to make sure stations in our community are accessible and easy to navigate for everyone.
I’ve been fighting to improve accessibility at our public transit stations throughout Queens for years & I’m glad to see that elevators are finally coming to our community! Upgrades at the 63rd Drive-Rego Park Station & Grand Avenue-Newtown Station in Elmhurst will make life easier for so many.
Instead of working to pass legislation to make life more affordable for hardworking families, GOP leadership canceled votes so they wouldn’t have to address Jeffrey Epstein.
They are protecting elites at the expense of working people.
There's nothing beautiful about adding $3.4 TRILLION to the national debt while taking away health care & food assistance from millions of Americans.
This looks a lot like waste, fraud, & abuse to me...
The Administration must reverse this decision to save lives & taxpayer dollars.

A special thank you to CMShekar Krishnan & @aoc.bsky.social who helped make this happen.
I've been fighting for a ramp at the Jackson Heights Post Office for years. Now that construction is complete, it's finally ADA accessible & easy to navigate for families with strollers.
I am grateful for the brave first responders & I join the Bangladeshi community in grieving.
