On Memorial Day, we honor the brave service members who gave their lives for our country. Their courage and sacrifice will never be forgotten. As a nation, we are eternally indebted to their service.
From restaurants to grocery stores, tariffs on EU goods could hurt small businesses & consumers the most.
Small businesses are the backbone of communities like Queens and NYC as a whole. When they thrive, so does the rest of our communities!
More than 40% of births nationwide are covered by Medicaid & that number is even higher in New York State.
GOP cuts to Medicaid would be devastating to families in Queens & across the country.
They're putting babies’ lives at risk to give tax breaks to billionaires.
3-5 major hurricanes could be devastating to communities along the East Coast.
@nws.noaa.gov offices must be fully staffed so every community in the path of dangerous storms during hurricane season can be prepared before a disaster strikes.
My full statement on the murder of Israeli diplomats in Washington, D.C.👇
Americans deserve better than this.
My constituents in Queens deserve better than this.
We'll keep fighting to stop this bill from becoming law.
I stayed in the Capitol all night to vote NO on the GOP's bad budget bill that will slash health care & food assistance for millions of children, seniors, & families – just to put more money in the pockets of billionaires.
The murder of Israeli diplomats at a Jewish community event is a despicable act of antisemitic terror. As we continue to learn more, my thoughts are with the victims and their families.
Hate and antisemitism have no place here. The perpetrator of this violence must be held accountable.
Under the GOP budget more than 18 MILLION kids could lose access to free school meals.
For some kids, this is the only nutritious food they’ll have in a day.
Rather than making life easier for families, they're taking meals from kids to pay for tax cuts that only benefit billionaires.
WATCH: Secretary Marco Rubio told me that he will break the law by refusing to spend money Congress directed for lifesaving educational and family planning programs.
That’s unacceptable.
Sec. Rubio says he wants to work with Congress, but we need to see action, not just words.

Here's a quick update on budget reconciliation👇
The GOP is trying to pass a bill that hurts hardworking families, while helping the wealthy get even wealthier.
Americans don't want political games & they don't want this bad billionaire bill. They want affordable groceries & health care.
I am deeply saddened by the loss of Congressman Gerry Connolly. He was a kind & passionate leader who dedicated his life serving Northern Virginia. It as been an honor to serve alongside him in the halls of Congress.
My thoughts are with his family, friends, and staff during this difficult time.
Christine Haider was a community leader, dedicating her life to making Queens a better place to be. I was proud to join members of our community to honor her life & legacy as a civic leader, which will be remembered for generations to come.
Proud to join Met Council's annual legislative breakfast to talk about the urgent need to bring the remaining hostages home, fight antisemitism, & protect federal programs that feed families, like SNAP & TEFAP. Met Council is uplifting our community every day & I’m grateful to stand with them.
Queens is home to a rich history of Dutch settlers who set sail for what is now the United States on May 17 in the 1700s. This historic site served as a colonial-era burial ground for Dutch families who made this area their home. Today it is an area of remembrance & peace.
It was an honor to attend the Brinckerhoff Way street conaming in honor of Brinckerhoff Cemetery, a place of remembrance.
My thoughts are with President Biden and his family during this difficult time. I have no doubt that he will fight this cancer diagnosis with strength and courage. I am praying for a full and fast recovery.
In Congress, I'm proud to represent the World's Borough and the AANHPI community as Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus (CAPAC) Chair. Alongside my colleagues & community partners, I'm fighting for a better future for all Americans.
It was an honor to receive The National Urban League’s Power in Diversity Award alongside Stacey Abrams & Congressman Joaquin Castro.
