Kash Patel testified before @democrats-appropriations.house.gov that the President's proposed budget fails to address the FBI's needs. Even his own FBI director thinks his budget cuts go too far. (1/2)
Yesterday, I questioned FBI Director Kash Patel about Ed Martin, his ties to Nazi sympathizers, & why he wasn't disqualified from becoming U.S. Attorney for DC during his FBI background check. Today, the President revoked his nomination.
Happy #TeacherAppreciationWeek to all the dedicated educators in Queens & across the country. Your hard work each day is shaping the next generation of American leaders and hardworking families.
It was an honor to attend the street conaming ceremony in Forest Hills for Dr. Daniel Malakov. A selfless & dedicated family man & orthodontist, Daniel always went above and beyond for our community. (1/2)
Working moms are paid just 74 cents for every dollar compared to dads & that's unacceptable. From supporting their families to providing care, they keep our economy running. On #MomsEqualPayDay, my @demwomencaucus.bsky.social colleagues & I are continuing the fight to end the gender pay gap.
Honored to speak with them as they sit in on the Senate steps today while they face illegal firings under the new Administration. I’m proud to stand with our federal workers & all they do to serve communities like Queens.
Federal employees take an oath to serve our nation regardless of who is the Oval Office. Whether they are forecasting the weather, providing Social Security checks, helping veterans receive healthcare, & so much more, their work touches millions of lives every day.
JOIN US: Grant Information Session My team & I are hosting an in-person grant information session on Thursday, May 8, at 6pm EST in Fresh Meadows. Learn more about the funding opportunities available to your neighborhood or small business! RSVP is required. Learn more👇
Veterans Day isn't just about celebrating our nation's military victories. It's about honoring the brave men & women who have sacrificed everything to serve our country. This is disrespectful to the millions of American veterans who have defended freedom worldwide. abcnews.go.com/Politics/liv...
Massive cuts to NASA in the President’s proposed budget are shocking – the largest in American history. They will decimate NASA’s research & education efforts and terminate funding for our nation’s dedicated scientists.
Social Security is a lifeline for thousands of seniors & reports that Queens offices could be shut down are deeply concerning. Any disruptions in services or access to benefits could be detrimental to constituents in my community. Our message to the Administration: Hands off our Social Security!
Denying care to firefighters with cancer is appalling. The Administration's cuts to the World Trade Center Health Program are already putting our first responders' lives at risk. They MUST reverse course & ensure everyone who qualifies is getting the care they need.
As Chair of @capac.house.gov & the representative of a vibrant Asian American community in Queens, I'm proud to uplift our voices & celebrate all that we have accomplished. This month & every month, let's honor the past, celebrate the present, & empower the future of our community.
Mobile Office Hours: Flushing YMCA TOMORROW, from 11am-2pm, my constituent services team is hosting mobile office hours at the YMCA in Flushing! Stop by to ask questions & receive help with federal agencies like the VA, Social Security, IRS, & more. Details👇
Funding for law enforcement, violence prevention programs, & support for those struggling with substance use disorders is not government waste. Full stop. I'm calling on Attorney General Pam Bondi to restore DOJ grants funding these life-saving programs.
