Energy costs are already high. The President's tariffs are making it even more difficult for New Yorkers to get relief.
A wind and solar project that could power millions of homes is now on hold because his tariffs sent costs skyrocketing.
Every day, he breaks his promise to lower costs.

As Ramadan comes to an end, I'm wishing everyone who celebrated in Queens and beyond a joyful and blessed Eid al-Fitr. Eid Mubarak!
My bipartisan US-Greece Security Cooperation Reporting Act would strengthen this relationship that serves our mutual interests in the Eastern Mediterranean. (2/2)
Last week, a fire on the USS Gerald Ford damaged the sleeping quarters of hundreds of sailors and crew members.
Thanks to the US-Greece relationship, the ship will be repaired at the Souda Bay base in Crete. (1/2)
I won't support another dollar for DHS until this lawlessness is reined in.
He was a dad rushing to see his baby in the NICU. A DACA recipient. A scientist. A neighbor. A man with no criminal record.
And ICE still detained him.
This Administration says they’re targeting the "worst of the worst," while they’re tearing families apart.
Weekend Office Hours: 3/22
My team & I are hosting weekend office hours this Sunday, March 22, 10am-1pm, at my Northeast Queens District Office! Stop by to ask questions & receive assistance with federal agencies like the IRS, VA, Social Security, & more.

When I visited MDC Brooklyn, I requested to meet with Rafael. I wanted to make sure that he was safe & being treated humanely. I told him that I & many other New Yorkers – including Speaker Menin – continue standing with him. I join the Speaker & others in denouncing the decision to deport him.
I’m so grateful for their insight and spirit—and in Congress, I’ll keep fighting to make life better for every family in our community.
I stopped by Commonpoint Queens while I was home last week to check in with local seniors, update them on what I've been working on in DC, & answer questions! So many in our community are concerned about rising costs, the status of federal funding in our community, flooding, severe weather, & more.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I won’t support any measure that gives ICE a blank check to keep harming our communities.
I’m signing a discharge petition to force a vote to fund parts of DHS that don’t include ICE — agencies like TSA, FEMA, and the Coast Guard. This will keep our airports running and ensure federal workers get the pay they’ve earned, while we continue demanding accountability for ICE.
High School Artists: Join my Congressional Art Competition!🎨
I encourage students to submit artwork for the chance to see it featured in the US Capitol for one year!
Submissions must be dropped off at my office by Friday, April 17th. Questions? Call (718) 358-MENG.
In the richest country in the world, no one should have to take out a loan or skip meals to afford health care.
We need to extend ACA tax credits to give families some room to breathe.
I’m deeply grateful to the firefighters and first responders at the scene. My team and I have been in touch with the FDNY and city leaders. We stand ready to assist residents as they begin to recover from this tragedy. (2/2)
My heart breaks for our neighbors — especially the young child — who lost their lives in today’s tragic fire in Flushing. I’m praying for their families and loved ones during this difficult time. (1/2)
I stopped by PS23 in Queens this week to learn more about what our educators are doing to support the next generation in our community. I’m grateful for their hard work every day to help students in Queens learn and grow.
Some of my favorite things? Twizzlers, café con leche, and a good yard sale find!

Wonderful to meet students at PS41Q during civics week! I’m so proud to see young people engaged in their community and excited to take part in our democracy.
