It’s 2 am and we’re still marking up massive cuts to Medicaid.
While their constituents are asleep, Republicans are trying to take away health care from 13.7 million people to pay for tax cuts for billionaires.
They want you to tune out. Don’t ⬇️

BREAKING: The scene at the Rayburn Building is pure rebellion. Protesters are swarming in during live hearings on Medicaid cuts.
Security’s losing control. Because when the government wages war on the poor, the poor fight back.

WATCH: @aoc.bsky.social explains how the Republican bill will:
- Gut Medicaid
- Increase premiums for private health insurance
- Force rural hospitals to close
All to give a giant tax handout to billionaires.

Even if you're on private insurance, the Republican budget will screw you over too, @aoc.bsky.social explains. #NoMedicaidCuts

AOC: The math is not adding up. Their claim is that one million undocumented people are on Medicaid. So why are they trying to cut 13.7 million Americans off their healthcare?

TODAY the House will be marking up deeply unpopular massive Medicaid cuts.

AOC: Tom Homan said he was going to refer me to DOJ because I’m using my free speech rights in order to advise people of their constitutional protections… to that I say: Come for me… Do I look like I care?
There’s nothing illegal about it and if they want to make it illegal, they can come take me.
Plenty of politicians on both sides of the aisle feel threatened by rising class consciousness.
I just put the project in a large ziploc bag and toss it in whatever bag I’m carrying around. Super convenient
When the yarn is wound into balls he is obsessed with them. These flatter cakes don’t roll around as much so he’s not as interested.
When I hand wound my yarn into balls I just hid them from him behind a couch pillow 😂
I also put skeins in ziploc bags and pull from there. Keeps everything tidy!
The alt text prompt in settings makes it so easy to remember! Someone here recommended I turn it on and it’s been amazing.
Ahhh and our yarns are similar too! I LOVE your colorway 😍

I just started this past December! I did have some crochet experience from college but other than that I was a total beginner.
After two scarves (a plain and a Sophie scarf), the Step by Step sweater by Florence was my first sweater. The video support helps! Just dive in!
I call it my fruity pebbles sweater ☺️
It’s #WIPWednesday! 🧶
This is what I’ve been knitting between Fight the Oligarchy rally stops.
Oversized Seasons Cardigan by Ozetta.
Splurged big-time on the yarn (🫣) but honestly after holding this thing for weeks I’m happy I did. Woolerton Estates in Fluffy. #KnitSky

AOC: Some of the Republicans whose districts we visited just warned their leadership that they’re not sure they can vote for Medicaid cuts now.
We’ve got them on their back foot. But our job is not done.
We will rally every corner of the U.S.
We will not stop until they actually vote no.

AOC: I saw on Fox, Jeanine Pirro says that they found so many babies and two year olds and four year olds receiving social security. I got a notice for you Jeanine Pirro: those babies receive social security because their parents died. That’s not a waste. That’s humanity. That’s America.
