⚖️These are the people who enforce the laws, which make sure big corporations don’t poison the people and destroy the environment. 💻These are the people doing important research and collecting important data so we can make good decisions for the benefit of the next generation.
If you don’t believe a Democrat needs a mental health break, than I guarantee you we will all end up stepping down. We should be encouraging elected leaders and holding GOP elected to account. Misplacing our angst is not going to solve any problem. Enjoy your weekend!
Our Democratic delegation (14 in House and 2 in Senate) are working together using the levers we have to pull. In the meantime, we need neighbors and communities to come together and organize!
So the needle to thread here is tiny, compared to others who won’t be in jeopardy in 2026. Also, I fundamentally believe we will run out of energy fighting in defense. We need an offensive strategy to get our country out of this crisis.
What additional action do you suggest? I have one voice and I am one vote out of 435. I too believe Democrats should be doing 1000% more. And seeing a record turnout from neighbors at our local Dem Party meeting helps. But I am also in a district with 49% R’s and 51% D’s.
While the President decided to play gross politics with the air disaster, DCA opened right up again with no changes in protocol. I have moved all of my to/from trips from DCA to IAD until someone assures me the airspace has been made safer around Reagan.
