I joined my colleagues in calling on HUD to immediately withdraw their proposed rule to end longstanding prorated assistance for families of mixed immigration status.

Kristi Noem has been a total disaster at DHS. I called for her to be impeached or step down. She’s been fired, but her replacement cannot be more of the same. ICE's violence and chaos must end.
A federal judge just ruled – yet again – that it's unlawful for Trump and Kristi Noem to block Members of Congress from conducting unannounced oversight visits to ICE facilities.
I'm glad to see this decision and I'll continue to hold this Administration accountable.
We need to be fighting back against his dangerous policies, not applauding them.
ICE is terrorizing our communities.
Families are struggling to make ends meet while billionaires get tax breaks.
Health care has been gutted.
Instead of addressing any of that last night, the President chose to lie over and over again and fuel division.
No voy a asistir al discurso del Estado de la Unión de Trump esta noche. Estos son los motivos⬇️
I will not be attending Trump's State of the Union address today. Here's why ⬇️

U.S. citizens in Jalisco State, Baja California State, Quintana Roo State & areas of Guanajuato, Guerrero, Michoacan, Oaxaca, Nuevo Leon & Tamaulipas States are advised to shelter in place. 1/2
Trump violated the Constitution and made life more expensive for families across the nation in the process. It’s time for Trump to drop his disastrous economic policies and actually address the affordability crisis he's fueled. 2/2
This is exactly what we've been saying from the beginning - Trump's tariffs were absolutely illegal. Authority to impose tariffs rests solely with Congress, not the President. 1/2

Happy Lunar New Year! Wishing everyone health and happiness in the Year of the Horse.
Ramadan Mubarak to all those observing in California's 52nd Congressional District and across the country. May this holy month bring you and your loved ones peace, hope, and renewal.
Disgusting bigotry. This kind of hate has no place in Congress, or anywhere else. Shame on Randy Fine, and shame on my Republican colleagues who have continued to stay silent on this.
Deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Rev. Jesse Jackson–a giant of the Civil Rights Movement who dedicated his life to fighting for justice and equality for all. His legacy will live on for generations to come. I'm praying for his loved ones, including my colleague @jonathanjackson.house.gov.
Bloqueen los fondos al DHS. Destituyan a Kristi Noem.
Today, we held a hearing on ICE's abuses where families and communities share story after story of their experiences being targeted and terrorized by this lawless agency. Block DHS funding. Impeach Kristi Noem. Get ICE out of our cities now. This violence cannot continue.
