This legislation will help us boost our housing supply, increase homeownership opportunities, and lower costs.
It's a major step forward, but the fight to make sure affordable housing is within reach for families continues. We won't let up.

🚨 PASSED
I just voted YES on the most comprehensive housing reform package in decades - and it includes one of my bills.

This is a truly stunning report. The White House cover-up of the Epstein Files is one of the most disturbing and corrupt in our history. We must hold every single one of them accountable!
Happy Father's Day to all the dads and father figures across CA-52.
Out of all the titles I've had, Dad is the best one.
On June 19, 1865, enslaved people in Galveston, TX learned they were free — over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.
As we commemorate Juneteenth and the end of slavery in the United States, we recommit ourselves to the unfinished work of justice, opportunity, and equality for all.
Yet another attack on public education from this Administration. This will hurt students who need support and families across this country. Absolutely wrong, and we will push back.
Today marks 14 years of DACA. Dreamers strengthen our communities, contribute to our economy, and have built their lives here.
As Trump continues to attack DACA, we must provide permanent protections and a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers.

Trump's ICE has beaten, brutalized, and even murdered innocent people. Instead of demanding accountability, Republicans sent another blank check.
I've been clear from the start.
Not one penny more for Trump’s ICE and the Administration’s violent anti-immigrant crackdown.
SHAMEFUL: Republicans just voted to send $70 BILLION to ICE. That's on top of the $170 billion they authorized for the agency last summer.
They chose to hand another $70 billion to an agency that continues to terrorize our communities with absolutely no guardrails.
I voted NO.
The law is clear: seeking asylum is legal in the United States.
This ruling confirms that the administration's attempt to freeze asylum claims was unlawful. Those fleeing violence and persecution have the right to seek protection and have their cases heard.

Early this morning, the Senate voted to give ICE $70 billion more as this rogue agency continues to terrorize our communities. No reforms or changes made. The House must reject this funding. Not one penny more for Trump’s ICE.
Happy Pride!
This month, as we celebrate the resilience and enormous achievements of the LGBTQI+ community, we also reaffirm our commitment to fight for justice and equality for all.
As owners of a family-owned small business and active members of the Downtown Chula Vista Association, Priscilla and Fernando work hard every day to enrich and strengthen our community. Wishing them many years of continued success!
During National Small Business Month, I was glad to honor Fernando Covarrubias and Priscilla Curiel, owners of Mujer Divina Burrito & Coffee House, as our May Constituents of the Month.
From Forbes - Juan Vargas: 'I Don't Hear A Peep' From GOP Over ICE Carrying Out Raids Without Judicial Warrants
ICE is out of control. Meanwhile, Republicans are trying to send them billions more in funding with no oversight. Absolutely NO funds for this rogue agency.
Donald Trump is setting up a nearly $2 BILLION taxpayer-funded slush fund for his loyalists and supporters - including January 6th rioters who attacked police officers. The corruption is out of control. It's an outrage, and we're fighting to stop it.
Eid Mubarak. Especially after the horrific events last week at the Islamic Center of San Diego, I'm wishing everyone observing Eid al-Adha blessings and strength.
