Hegseth gutted the team meant to prevent civilian death. One of the first strikes in this war hit an elementary school. And President Trump continues to threaten Iranian civilians and infrastructure.
This administration isn’t minimizing civilian harm.

For many species, the Endangered Species Act is the difference between extinction and survival.
Last week, House Republicans chose Earth Day to try to gut it, but they didn’t have the votes.
This is a win for wildlife, but it’s not the end of our fight!
This is just horrid and cruel. After racing to hand out massive tax cuts to the wealthiest Americans, the Trump administration is now looking to punish disabled Americans for relying on family support.

Trump has made life more expensive for families across the country—but just how much more are YOU paying because of his inflation?

Almost everything Trump does is to serve his own ego, not the American people.
House Republicans could've funded TSA, the Secret Service, and the Coast Guard by letting us vote on legislation that TWICE passed the Senate unanimously. Instead, they chose to extend the shutdown.
They can end this shutdown today by putting this bill up for a vote. They should.
Good news: the House has passed the Taxpayer Experience Improvement Act, which Rep. David Schweikert and I introduced earlier this year!
Our bill would pave the way to modernize the IRS with better technology to improve service for the American people.
Here's why that's sorely needed:

Gas prices keep soaring as Americans struggle to make ends meet.

Generative AI can be incredibly dangerous. It enables the spread of deepfakes and vast misinformation across our country.
@beyer.house.gov, Rep. James Moylan and I introduced the bipartisan Protecting Consumers from Deceptive AI Act to mandate clear labeling of AI-generated content.
Very thankful for law enforcement protecting the public tonight during the frightening incident at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
Remembering all those who were killed in the Armenian genocide, which began on this date 111 years ago. It is important to recognize what happened, hold up the truth, and speak out against injustice. The past is still with us.
Historic: @abigailspanberger.com signed a law to guarantee working Virginians paid family and medical leave!
A huge step forward by the Governor and General Assembly for affordability, for families, for businesses and workers, and a better and stronger Commonwealth.

Earth Day is a reminder of our responsibility to take care of our planet, and we have our work cut out for us!
Donald Trump's attacks on our environment to protect the interests of his rich oil friends are many, but let me explain just 10 of them:
Republican leadership intended to vote to gut the Endangered Species Act today… and then didn't have the support needed, so they pulled the bill.
Happy Earth Day! 🌍
I'm saddened to hear of David Scott's passing. My thoughts are with his wife Alfredia, his family, his staff, and his loved ones as they mourn his loss.

Families are feeling the pressure of high energy costs every day, while energy companies continue to rake in profits.
That’s why @casten.house.gov, @beyer.house.gov, and I reintroduced legislation to hold bad actors accountable for rigging markets and raising prices.
This is great news. I share the relief felt by many DC-area commuters and visitors to our nation’s capital.
I urged NPS to immediately halt their proposed removal because this bike lane improves safety and reduces commute times. It’s good to see the court keep it in place.
