These phony charges demanded by Trump as an act of vengeance are a direct assault on the rule of law in the United States, and an act of staggering corruption. Donald Trump is the most corrupt president in American history, and it isn't close. abcnews.go.com/US/former-fb...
Justice has been denied to the families of Ayşenur Ezgi Eygi, Sayfollah Musallet, Tawfic Abdel Jabbar, Rachel Corrie for far too long. Impunity is not the foundation of a rational alliance. Decades of Israeli government impunity must end. 2/2
I recently met with families of Americans killed by Israeli forces and extremist settler violence. I join their call for accountability for their loved ones' deaths and urge the release of Mohammed Ibrahim, a 16-year-old Florida boy jailed for 6 months without trial. 1/
Republicans & Trump gave each millionaire an average tax cut big enough to give four people healthcare. They didn't have to do that, it was a choice. They chose to rip healthcare from millions and cut taxes for the rich. Now they're raising healthcare costs for millions more.
Trump cut U.S. military aid to Taiwan the *same day* he made a TikTok deal with Xi Jinping. And it turns out the financial benefits of Trump's TikTok deal are going to his own billionaire allies. Insanely corrupt.
The Big Ugly Bill is the biggest health care cut in American history, and it isn't close. The American people deserve better, and Democrats are fighting to restore and protect your health care.
The Big Ugly Bill cut $137 billion from rural health. Republicans created a temporary $50 billion rural health fund to "fix" it. You do the math. Trump is now lying that Dems' push to restore full Medicaid funding means we want to cut rural health- exactly what he himself did!
The three health clinics are in the Shenandoah Valley, in Buena Vista, Weyers Cave, and Churchville- rural communities in western Virginia. Some patients will be relocated to nearby providers, but some will have to travel much farther for care. Local news from western VA:
One shutdown is already happening: Trump and Republicans are shutting down rural health clinics in Virginia. This is thanks to Medicaid cuts and other health care cuts in their Big Ugly Bill. National press haven't talked about this much, but it's a big deal here in Virginia.
Eventually NIH rehired the lab techs and Richard is receiving the care he needs, but the delay almost cost him his eligibility entirely. These are the impacts of the actions of the Trump Administration. I will continue to fight back. 3/3 www.washingtonpost.com/video/nation...
Last year, Richard Schlueter received a diagnosis that changed his life: he had metastatic cancer. He had reached out to an NIH team developing a treatment that could save him. But due to mass firings under the Trump Administration, Richard’s clinical trial was at risk. 1/
Proud to fight GOP attacks on health care alongside @bobbyscott.house.gov, @beyer.house.gov, @mcclellan.house.gov & @repsuhas.bsky.social. At a press call with @protectourcare.org, we urged Republicans to put politics aside & work with us to protect Medicaid & stop ACA premiums from skyrocketing.
Thank you to the courageous federal workers who’ve joined us for today’s constituent services event with Mayor Letty Hardi and wellfed. I am honored to stand with and support our civil servants as we work towards brighter days ahead.
