Big congrats to this year’s Congressional Art Competition winner, Cecilia Coleman. Her piece, “Threads of Us,” is a stunning oil painting that will be displayed in the Capitol. Cecilia, you make our district proud!

You can’t get ready after a fire starts, which is why I worked with @wyden.senate.gov, @repvalhoyle.bsky.social, @bynum.house.gov, and @salinas.house.gov to make sure communities in Oregon have the funding they need to invest in wildfire resilience.

Leaders in Deschutes County make every day before and during fire season count. They plan for the worst, partner with neighbors, and protect what we hold dearest.
When wildfire survivors are trying to rebuild after a massive tragedy, the federal government shouldn’t be taking a cut of their relief. Last week, my wildfire safety bill passed the House and is one step closer to making sure survivors have the support they need.
Young people are our future, and we have to set them up for success. Looking forward to continuing our work to guarantee our kids have the quality education they deserve, @neatoday.bsky.social.
