From parades, to the “Donald J. Trump Institute of Peace”, plans for Trump branding at a new DC NFL stadium and the Kennedy Center, Trump keeps trying to elevate himself. Now his birthday will be a free National Parks day while MLK Day & Juneteenth are removed. He’s putting himself above Dr. King.
Donald Trump just removed Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Juneteenth from the list of free entry days at national parks. They are being replaced with Trump’s birthday.
Wyeth Chandler was a good Mayor and an outstanding Judge. He was Mayor when I got my first government position as assistant police legal advisor and later as police legal advisor. I called on him for advice for law while a state senator.
Trump had the president of the U.S. Institute of Peace forcibly removed from his office earlier this year. A federal court ruled that his dismantling of the USIP was a "gross usurpation of power"—the case is still in court. Now he's slapping his name and his own toxic brand on the building anyway.
Was friends with Steve and Duck. They brought a sound to America purely American. Stax and Booker T and the MG’S. Green Onions not white, not not Vidalia, but Green Onions!🧅🎼🎸🎹
Today I reintroduced the bipartisan TVA IRP Act to strengthen how TVA plans for the Valley’s future energy needs. It expands public participation, increases transparency, and brings independent expertise into the IRP — helping ensure reliable, lowest-cost power for families in Memphis & TN-9.
Deeply saddened by the murder of US Army Specialist Sarah Beckstrom, a 20-year-old member of the WV National Guard serving in DC on a mission authorized by President Trump. No Guardsman should be put in danger on a deployment like this—I asked the President to lower flags to half-staff in her honor.
Saddened at her death. She served her state and nation and wanted to serve country as an agent. So sad. As she was serving her country through President Trump’s call up of the National Guard and shot so close to the White House. I hope the president will lower the flags to half staff in her memory
Sarah Beckstrom's ex-boyfriend told NBC News she dreamed of becoming an FBI special agent. She didn't want to deploy to D.C. "She hated it. She cried about it." But she started visiting monuments and museums and started enjoying it. May she rest in peace. www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...
