☔️Rain or shine: I’ll fight for our nation's civil servants! ✊
Mass, indiscriminate firings of civil servants mean:
📈higher everyday costs
✂️cut benefits like Social Security & Medicare you've earned
🚨unsafe communities, water, & air
❌worse public services for us ALL

Unions are the bedrock of the American middle class.
My @laborcaucus.bsky.social colleagues & I are introducing the #PROAct today to:
✊protect workers’ rights to form & join unions
📮secure free, fair, & safe union elections
📢 hold employers accountable for violating worker rights
DOGE isn't about efficiency.
It's about taking a wrecking ball to government so that:
➡️ultra-wealthy tax cheats can hoard more of their money
➡️Trump can outsource essential services - like flight safety & Social Security - to corporations Musk & rich donors run

Ahead of the 60th anniversary of Bloody Sunday, @repterrisewell.bsky.social, @housedemocrats.bsky.social, & I are introducing the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act to fight back and protect all Americans' access to the ballot box.
We only need 3 Republicans to join us.
On top of the countless lies, to have an ethnic slur hurled in the middle of the address to the American people is inexcusable.
We cannot treat this behavior as normal. I left.

Trump insults the American people by saying, "let's bring back law and order".
Among his first acts as president?
Pardoning 1500 violent felons involved in the January 6 attacks on our U.S. Capitol and democracy.
There it is.
Trump says, "There will be a little disturbance...it won't be much."
He's admitting his tariff trade war will raise prices and hurt American businesses.
That minor disturbance? A cost increase of $1600 - $2000 for average American families annually.
As Trump takes the podium tonight:
➡️Stock market in free fall
➡️Prices, inflation on the rise
➡️Funding for American people & communities ripped away
➡️Thousands of workers fired without cause, including veterans
➡️Global allies bullied & alienated while enemies embraced
Trump and his Justice Department would rather women bleed out and die than receive lifesaving abortion care.

Today, I sat down with my guest of honor for the President’s address to Congress, Dianne Lewis. We spoke about her life in Altadena & the devastating wildfires. It was deeply moving.

Tonight at Trump’s address to Congress, I’m honored to be joined by Dianne Lewis, an Eaton Fire survivor & lifelong educator.
Her resilience & dedication to Altadena are so inspiring. She is here to make sure our community receives its fair share of federal support to rebuild.
Trump promised prices would decrease on "Day One" of his presidency. He lied.
His reckless, senseless trade wars mean higher prices for all of us. At the car dealership, at the grocery store, at the pump - we'll all suffer.
Promises made, promises broken.

Save the date!
This Wednesday, March 5, I’m hosting a Telephone Town Hall with California Attoney General Rob Bonta and Democracy Forward's Megan Uzzell.
We’ll be discussing the Trump Administration and DOGE, and I’d love for you to join. Tune in for a chance to ask me your questions directly!
Today, Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, and I introduced the Acupuncture for Our Seniors Act to make sure our seniors have access to every possible treatment—especially for chronic pain.
Our bill enables licensed acupuncturists to serve as Medicare providers, increasing access to this effective care.
Trump will always prioritize his personal financial interests over our national security.
Time and again, he sides with aggressors, abusers, and dictators rather than standing with our friends and allies.
His actions today weaken the United States and make Americans less safe.
Now isn't the time for business as usual. Earlier this month, @repgwenmoore.bsky.social and I marched to Speaker Johnson’s office to demand answers on Elon Musk’s access to US Treasury payment systems. Good trouble is sometimes necessary. Read more about our meeting: www.msnbc.com/opinion/msnb...

Late last night, DoD issued guidance on how to implement Trump's ban on qualified & capable people serving in the military--just because they're trans. This ban is morally wrong, unconstitutional, and stupid.

Alignment stats consider only votes where a clear yes/no majority existed for the legislator's party. Cross-party marks divergence where the vote matched the opposite party majority. ↔ indicates cross-party divergence.
