Trump just spent $1 billion of taxpayer dollars to kill a renewable energy project. This is yet another example of Trump's reckless spending, and it's a disservice to families facing higher energy bills this year because of his war in Iran.

Republicans need to put partisanship aside and work with us to lower health care costs for everyone.
Today marks 16 years of the Affordable Care Act. While this law has been a lifeline for millions, last year’s Republican-led changes have left families vulnerable — forcing many to choose between their health and paying for basic necessities like rent or groceries.
Eid Mubarak to everyone celebrating on the Central Coast! Wishing you and your loved ones many blessings on this holy day.
I stand firmly with the victims and their loved ones. My full statement on César Chávez:
Let’s be clear: restarting the Sable project won’t bring gas prices down.
Trump’s reckless war is causing the problem — and risking California’s coast is a hollow solution.
Today, I joined my colleagues in launching a discharge petition to force a vote on funding critical agencies like TSA, FEMA, and the Coast Guard — without fueling Trump’s ICE agenda.
@housedemocrats.bsky.social are taking action to keep our country safe and our government open.
Trump's war in Iran isn’t just a foreign policy issue — it’s creating an economic problem here at home.
Rising fertilizer costs are squeezing farmers and as a result, food prices are going up.
I will continue to push for legislation to rein in Trump's ability to recklessly start conflicts abroad.
Russia helped Iran target American servicemembers.
Now Donald Trump is easing sanctions on Russian oil to address high gas prices. Rewarding Putin while our troops are under threat is unacceptable.

This week, New Dems traveled around their districts, hearing directly from their constituents about Trump's war with Iran.
New Dems @carbajal.house.gov, @cisneros.house.gov, & @goodlander.house.gov share their constituents' concerns over rising gas prices & the safety of our servicemembers.
Democrats have been sounding this alarm for months. 🚨
With their "Big Beautiful Bill", Republicans undermined the Affordable Care Act and cut over $1 trillion from Medicaid — and this is the result. We should be lowering health care costs, not making life harder for Americans.
Trump’s war in Iran is driving up gas prices across the country. Hardworking Americans were already struggling with the cost of living, and now families are paying more at the pump because of this reckless conflict.
Trump’s illegal tariffs hurt American families and small businesses. The court ordering refunds is a good start — but the work isn’t done.
We must keep fighting to deliver real relief to the communities that paid the price for this reckless policy.
The American people do not want another forever war in the Middle East. I will be voting in support of the War Powers Resolution to rein in Trump's reckless and dangerous actions.
In this year's farm bill, Republicans:
❌ refused to address Trump’s tariffs
❌ refused to reverse their SNAP cuts
❌ refused to provide emergency assistance to farmers on the brink of losing their farms
Their farm bill doesn’t meet the moment.
The Republican’s farm bill ignores the Big Ugly Bill’s $187 billion cut to SNAP.
In California alone, over half a million people could lose critical food assistance. That’s absolutely unacceptable.

My statement on the Trump administration’s strikes in Iran.
This is the REAL State of the Union ⬇️
❌ Prices continue to rise on everything from groceries to housing
❌ Masked ICE agents are shooting American citizens and separating families
❌ Health insurance has doubled & in some cases tripled
Let's talk about that Mr. President.
