Last week, I toured the DuPage Crisis Recovery Center in Wheaton. I was proud to secure $1,000,000 in Community Project Funding to build this facility, which will provide mental health and substance abuse crisis services for our community.

Libraries provide critical resources for our communities. Earlier this week, I joined Illinois State Library Director Greg McCormick for a tour of Indian Prairie Library in Darien.

Women, Infants, and Children Clinics help people in our community stay healthy. Last week, I visited the Community and Economic Development Association (CEDA) of Cook County’s WIC Clinic in Oak Lawn to learn about their programs and how SNAP cuts will impact their services.
Last week, I toured DuPage County Animal Services in Wheaton. I enjoyed seeing their new renovations, which help them care for more animals and respond to animal emergencies in DuPage County.
