One of the best parts of my job is getting to meet with young people to discuss the future of our community & country. Held a town hall recently with students at Horizon Community Middle School in Aurora. The future is in good hands with these bright minds!
Heartbroken to hear of the loss of my friend and an incredible community leader, Dan Ritchie. My thoughts to his family during this time. Dan is an example of civic leadership and living a life focused on building a strong community.
Every day, Colorado firefighters help to promote public safety and keep us safe. Recently, many have been on the frontlines of battling wildfires. Great to meet with some of these local heroes and discuss how I can best support them in Congress. 🚒
The American Dream feels out of reach for too many people. Folks can’t afford a home, send their kids to school, or put away money for retirement. People are justifiably frustrated. Costs are too damn high. And the President is not focused on ways to make things better.
Law enforcement should target violent criminals, not go after children & families. Mass deportation raids of churches and schools are cruel and inhumane. Regardless of your immigration status, you have rights protected by the Constitution.👇
This year, #TeamCrow has already helped return more than $200,000 back into the pockets of hardworking Coloradans! If you need assistance with a federal agency, my office is ready to help.
Lying about immigrant communities like Aurora makes us less safe. It also does nothing to fix our broken immigration system, which we desperately need to do. President Trump––rather than political posturing, work with Democrats to secure the border & pass bipartisan reforms.
I don’t want to ever hear Donald Trump or JD Vance talk about "backing the blue" & supporting law enforcement. They just released 1,000+ felons and cop beaters.
I’m proud to serve as the top Democrat on the Intelligence & Special Operations Subcommittee. I served three combat tours, including as a part of Army special operations in Afghanistan. On the Armed Services Committee, I'll work to keep America safe and support our troops.
8/ These are some of the violent criminals and felons who assaulted police officers and attacked our democracy on January 6th. President Trump claims to be a president of law and order, but then lets cop beaters and killers walk free. It’s disgusting and wrong.
7/ President Trump commuted sentences of members of far-right extremist groups like the Proud Boys, including Enrique Tarrio, who was convicted of seditious conspiracy and violent acts. After the attack, he said: “Make no mistake . . . we did this.”
5/ Edwin Rodriguez, pleaded guilty to felony assault of an officer. An officer who was sprayed by Rodriguez said her eyes burnt for about a week, and she gets migraines all the time that can last for days or for weeks. She also has nightmares and PTSD from January 6th.
4/ David Dempsey, pleaded guilty to two felony counts of assaulting an officer. Dempsey, stomped on police officers’ heads, swung poles at officers, struck an officer in the head with a metal crutch and attacked police with pepper spray and broken pieces of furniture.
3/ Riley Kasper, a convicted felon who assaulted a police officer, bragged on social media: "there is definitely something satisfying about pepper spraying cops in riot gear and watching them run from you like a b--- even though they have face masks, billy clubs and full f---ing body armor.”
2/ Steven Cappuccio was convicted of six felonies including assaulting a police officer. Cappuccio ripped off Metro Police officer Daniel Hodges’ gas mask, and at one point during the assault he said: “How do you like me now, mother f---er?"
