@housedemocrats.bsky.social are in Washington and working around the clock to solve the Republican healthcare crisis. Republicans are nowhere to be seen. Come back to Washington, we’re ready when you are.
The cost of living in America is already way too high. Without ACA tax credits next year, hard-working Americans will be forced to choose between feeding their kids and getting their medication. No one should have to make this impossible choice.
Now, he is summoning 800+ military generals to the Quantico for a "warrior ethos" and "lethality" pep talk.
His complete disregard of national security has not only made our country look weaker but also less safe.
The primary responsibility of the Secretary of Defense is to keep America safe.
Yet, since Hegseth has been in office, he
🔘 bragged about classified info in unsecured Signal chats,
🔘 invited Elon Musk to view secret war plans,
🔘 displayed a bizarre obsession with personal grooming habits.
If you’re a high school senior in CA-31 and interested in attending a U.S. military service academy, submit your application for nomination to my office by October 31, 2025. For more information or to download the nomination application, visit cisneros.house.gov/services/mil....
I’m deeply saddened and horrified to hear about the tragic shooting at the church in Grand Blanc.
Nobody in America should fear violence in their place of worship.
I’m praying for everyone that was in the church, their loved ones, and the entire Grand Blanc community. This violence has got to stop.
My Democratic colleagues and I are ready to work to prevent a government shutdown. Republicans are refusing to negotiate or even come back to town. Enough partisan politics – we need a bill that actually serves the needs of the American people.
If ACA tax credits expire, 39,000 people in my district would not be able to afford seeing doctors or get the critical care they need. Republicans would rather shutdown government and let people suffer than negotiate a plan. This is irresponsible and destructive for hard-working Americans.
… of funding cuts that will impact their students, patients, and critical care services around our community. (2/2)
The tax credits that help working families afford healthcare are set to expire while Republican leadership turns a blind eye. Today, I toured the Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine to speak with staff and see the incredible medical & educational facilities that are at risk … (1/2)
Thank you for all the work you do for the residents of El Monte and I look forward to our partnership in serving the community! (2/2)
It’s always great to meet with the local leaders that help CA-31 cities thrive. El Monte Mayor Pro Tem Cortez and Councilmembers Longoria and Galvan stopped by my office to discuss the most pressing issues in your city. (1/2)
Government funding runs out on September 30th and the Republican majority is still refusing to negotiate a bill that protects healthcare and puts Americans first. They are barreling America toward a shutdown with no signs of slowing down.
Don’t have a good feeling about this.
I hope I am wrong… www.washingtonpost.com/national-sec...
This week, I toured the Valley County Water District with the San Gabriel Valley Water Association, the driving force behind groundwater replenishment and cleanup. Thanks for keeping our water clean and sustainable!
I had the privilege of speaking with Mr. Tabatabai’s civics students at El Monte High School. The future is bright with the next generation of leaders!
This morning, I met with local VFW and American Legion Post Commanders in CA-31 to discuss improvements to veteran care and resources. Our veterans bravely served our country and they deserve the highest quality care.
We can’t trust the science coming out of HHS right now. Listen to the medical experts. www.acog.org/news/news-re...
With the Supreme Court authorizing racial profiling and our communities being terrorized by ICE, it’s more important than ever to know your legal rights.
For immigration resources and a list of your rights, visit cisneros.house.gov/immigration-resources. (2/2)
Thank you to @chirla-org.bsky.social and Immigrant Defenders Law Center for joining me to host a Know Your Rights roundtable to educate on the actions we can take to protect our rights. (1/2)
