Trump promised to lower food costs—and one of the ways we can do that is by vaccinating poultry against the bird flu. I’ve asked USDA Secretary Rollins to share her plans to lower egg and poultry prices through vaccination efforts while preserving export markets for American farmers.
Gutting the Education Department will have disastrous consequences for New Mexico. Our schools depend on federal funds to hire teachers and to provide extra support so all our kids learn and succeed. I'll do everything I can to stop this unlawful attack on our children’s future.
Halting payments Congress authorized for wildfire mitigation is unlawful and dangerous. So is a federal hiring freeze. How does the Trump administration plan to effectively fight wildfires if the forest service can’t hire firefighters? sourcenm.com/briefs/u-s-s...
We need to expand access to career-connected learning as early as high school. Providing students with job skills will ensure more New Mexicans have career opportunities they can build families around, strengthening our middle class. www.abqjournal.com/business/art...
Trump’s hiring freeze of federal firefighters puts lives, homes, and communities in danger. It is essential that federal firefighters can hire, onboard, and train their teams ahead of fire season. This administration must end this freeze immediately. www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...
The federal hiring freeze will have disastrous implications for national parks. Families don’t deserve to have their weekend trips ruined and local economies shouldn’t be destroyed over Trump’s chaos. I’m urging Secretary Burgum to take immediate action.
I’m working hard to protect federal funding for New Mexico’s schools, teachers, and kids. I want to thank the Las Cruces School Board for meeting with me and discussing ways we can prepare students for high-quality careers they can build their families around.
This Blake's breakfast burrito now costs $1 more because the price of eggs keeps skyrocketing since Trump took office. Instead of helping us find a solution, his chaos and incompetence have only made it worse.
Tulsi Gabbard’s poor judgement and lack of national security experience make her wholly unqualified to keep Americans safe as our Director of National Intelligence. I voted no on her nomination.
Time and again, Ms. Gabbard has elevated conspiracy theories, parroted dictators’ talking points, and repeatedly undermined our country’s national security. Her poor judgment and lack of national security experience make her wholly unqualified to keep Americans safe as our Director of National Intelligence. Ms. Gabbard’s responses during her nomination hearing made this clear, refusing to call Edward Snowden a traitor and, in response to my questions, falsely denying knowledge of comments by a Syrian cleric she met with in 2017 who threatened to unleash suicide bombers in the United States.

Put plainly, Tulsi Gabbard is a national security risk. She appears to trust information from every other source but the Intelligence Community. Yet as the Director of National Intelligence, she would be entrusted with providing the most sensitive intelligence to the president and determining what intelligence to share with our allies.

As I continue to carry out my constitutional duty, I will remain vigilant to ensure that every nominee is properly vetted and has the qualifications to serve.
We’re losing nearly 75,000 Americans each year to fentanyl overdoses. I refuse to accept this reality. Our HALT Fentanyl Act would give law enforcement the tools they need to help stop the flow of these deadly drugs into our communities and save lives. www.foxnews.com/us/overdose-...
