Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's bill to rename the Gulf of Mexico was just intro’d in my committee & it’s a total waste of our time.   As fire & hurricane season near, we need to talk about disaster prep & deal with DOGE's cuts to NOAA, NWS, & more. Yet this is what the Majority wants to focus on.
If my Republican colleagues are so pro-life, they would support programs that children & working families rely on. Medicaid is the largest insurer of children. SNAP benefits help kids have with nutritious meals in and out of school. If you are really pro-life, work with us to fund these programs.
Fascism rises slowly then quickly, and we’re in the quickly part now. The only way we are going to stop it is by standing up.   Thank you to everyone who joined my town halls in Florence & Springfield to do just that. Our community's strength is exactly what we need, and I’m taking it to DC with me.
As someone with a learning disability, I relied on special education programs and I know these services play a key role in providing pathways to family wage jobs and independence and success that comes with that. My statement on President Trump’s dismantling of the Department of Education.

Yesterday, I joined my colleagues in the Oregon delegation to hear from and speak to public servants who have been affected by DOGE's reckless cuts. To all federal workers: your stories are the best weapon you have. Share them. We stand with you, we will protect you, and we will fight alongside you.

TSA Officers are the front-line defense at airports for millions of families who travel. Removing their collective bargaining rights is union-busting. That's why AFGE is suing the Department of Homeland Security. America's unions will always fight for federal workers’ rights and contracts.
Contempt for working people isn’t a good look. I’d rather stand with someone who earns their wages honestly by taking care of people, than one who is willing to sell off our govt to the highest bidder.
White House Counselor Alina Habba: "You were in the bar. You were in a bar. You were in a bar, AOC. Calm down. And not to have a drink. To serve one." #populism
Republicans control all of Congress and WH. Since Election Day, all they talk about is their ‘mandate’ and how they don’t need Dems. Now it’s our fault THEY can’t pass THEIR bill? We won’t roll over on the values half the country sent us here to represent. If you want our votes, include our ideas.
My Democratic colleagues and I have made it clear: we are united in support of a four-week spending bill that restores Congress’s power of the purse, keeps government open, and allows for an actual bipartisan solution. I will stay in DC as long as it takes.
Thanks again to @repvalhoyle.bsky.social for inviting us to be part of a tele-town hall last night. We heard from so many Oregonians w/personal stories of how federal firings and funding cuts are impacting them. These stories help us in our legal fight to protect our citizens!
Thank you to Congresswoman Val Hoyle for organizing a tele-town hall last night. We heard from so many Oregonians impacted by federal firings, funding freezes and cuts. We need these stories as we continue our legal fight to protect our citizens!
This bill enables the President and his administration to spend taxpayer dollars however they want and without accountability or oversight from Congress. I voted no. My statement on today’s continuing resolution. ⬇️
Over 10,000 people in 2 days! Thank you so very much to all of you who joined us over the past 2 nights on our tele-town halls. Like I said tonight: Stay tuned for our in-person town halls which we will announce soon!
