This big check is for $959,752 I secured so the Pueblo of Tesuque could build a modern wastewater treatment system.
Water must always be protected, and the Pueblo of Tesuque deserves a safe, clean water system.

It is against the Constitution and against basic human dignity to detain and arrest someone for the color of their skin.
ICE must be stopped and Secretary Noem removed from office.
As he described it: “I was treated as if we haven’t earned our place here. This is our place. This is beyond racism, they hate us like we were pests and rodents in their home, but this is OUR home, and always has been.”
ICE detained a Navajo man for 4 hours after he identified himself, offered his Tribal ID, Certificate of Indian Blood, and birth certificate.
They told him he must be stealing someone’s identity and that they would “get his family next.”

Americans are working hard and still can’t afford to buy a home the way their parents and grandparents could. That frustration is real.
Trump and Republicans have made it even harder for families to get ahead.
The @USProgressives have a plan to fix it, and it includes my Home of Your Own Act.
The public outcry saved these funds. Keep it up!
Trump was forced to cancel the cuts.
How dare he claim he is fighting drug trafficking when he pardons convicted drug dealers and slashes the funding to help those with addiction recover?
Trump keeps betraying the American people, but we will keep fighting back.
Late Tuesday, the Trump admin slashed nearly $2B in mental health & substance abuse funding.
There was immediate bipartisan backlash. I signed onto an effort to stop the cuts. Providers reached out to us, scared—terrified of how the drastic surprise cuts could hurt New Mexicans already struggling.

🔥 @fernandez.house.gov: "Trump says it's 'psychologically important' for HIM to own Greenland. Not for the nation—for him. And he won't rule out using nuclear force to get it. Congress can stop this."
For the last year, Trump's DHS, under the leadership of Kristi Noem, has terrorized communities across the country with a violent, authoritarian & chaotic attack on our communities.
Noem must be held accountable. I cosponsored articles of impeachment to remove her from office.
🚨WATCH: Republicans reject amendment to stop Trump from using your money to build arches and ballrooms. A
Americans don’t recognize the country they live in.
We’ve witnessed the invasion of Venezuela, the militarization of our streets, and the killing of a mother of three, all while prices continue to rise for everyday Americans.
And Republicans in Congress are doing nothing.
Kristi Noem, the ringleader of this campaign of cruelty, must resign.
If she does not step down, I will support congressional action, up to and including impeachment, to make sure we have accountability at the highest levels of the Department of Homeland Security.
The Trump administration sent nearly 2,000 ICE agents into Minnesota claiming it was about child care fraud — even though child care isn’t ICE’s job.
We all saw what happened next.
New Mexico stepped up when Republicans in Congress failed. Meanwhile, places like Pennsylvania have seen massive decreases.
The Senate needs to vote to take up the House’s 3 year extension of the ACA credits now so New Mexicans and every American can afford their health insurance premiums.
Muchísimas gracias, Gabby, por tu incansable trabajo y valentía en la lucha contra la violencia armada.
Today, we honor Rep. Gabby Giffords on the 15th anniversary of the mass shooting that took lives and forever changed so many others. We honor her resilience and her unwavering commitment to ending gun violence.
Leader Jeffries said it best: enough is enough.
Gun violence is the leading cause of death for children in the United States.
Please follow guidance from Santa Fe Police and local emergency officials. We will share updates as more information becomes available.
We are closely monitoring the ongoing situation near Calle Mejía in Santa Fe. Law enforcement has advised residents in the affected area to remain indoors while the situation is under investigation. This includes our Santa Fe office, which is temporarily closed and under lockdown at this time.
