I’m heartbroken by the devastating tragedy in Louisiana. Eight innocent children lost in an act of unimaginable violence.
No words can capture this loss. My prayers are with the victims, their families, and the Shreveport community.
Every day, my team helps our community navigate federal agencies, access important resources, and secure money owed to them. I'm proud to say we've already returned more than $950,000 this year.

Clearly, transparency is not a priority for the Trump Administration.
We don't know exactly how much has been spent on Trump's war in Iran, but we do know that's money that could have had a real impact on the lives of hardworking American families here at home.
When 80 million voting age people don't participate in a presidential election, it's a pretty big warning sign. Americans have lost faith in their government.
I joined @hcrichardson.bsky.social to share how I'm leading the work that's necessary to restore their trust.
Keep up with what I'm doing in Congress by signing up for my weekly newsletter:
It was a pleasure to join @hcrichardson.bsky.social today to discuss my role as top Democrat on the Committee on House Administration fighting to protect our elections and keep our government working for the American people.

Proud to introduce the Poll Worker Tax Cut Act with Rep. Latimer.
Poll workers are essential to free & fair elections. They shouldn’t be penalized for stepping up to serve. This bill ensures their earnings aren’t taxed as income. Let’s support those who support our democracy.
I'll be live on CNN This Morning with @audiecornish.bsky.social in just a few minutes, tune in!
Tomorrow at 11:30 AM, I’ll join Heather Cox Richardson on Substack to talk about my work fighting corruption, my hometown of Rochester, and what history can teach us about the challenges we face today.

Proud to have @repnikema.bsky.social as a co-chair on the Anti-Corruption and Democracy Reform Task Force.
This is about restoring faith in government. A government of the people. By the people. For the people. We’re committed to doing the work to get there and we won’t back down.
Today, we launched the Anti-Corruption & Democracy Reform Task Force. The American people deserve a government that works for them, not the powerful few.
We’re taking on corruption across every branch and rebuilding trust in our democracy.
The Trump Administration's move to vacate convictions for seditious conspiracy by members of Oath Keepers and Proud Boys for what happened on January 6th, 2021 is beyond disgraceful.
We need to put an end to the corruption that goes on in the Trump Administration.
Proud to be working with @RepNikema.bsky.social @Ramirez.house.gov, and @kevinmullin.house.gov on the Anti-Corruption & Democracy Reform Task Force.
This Task Force is about protecting the integrity of our institutions and ensuring no one is above the law.
Today we honor Jackie Robinson, a trailblazer who broke barriers and changed the course of American history.
His courage, resilience, and talent continue to inspire us as we keep pushing for a more equal and inclusive future on and off the field.
The chaos and recklessness must stop.
It is long past time to remove Donald Trump from office. He is unfit for the presidency, and I will vote to hold him accountable.
The deadline for the 2026 Congressional Art Competition is coming up quick!

Congratulations to Rochester General on earning the highest level of vascular program verification.
This recognition reflects the incredible skill and dedication of our healthcare workers who are delivering world-class care right here in our community.
Today we recognize Yom HaShoah, a solemn day of remembrance to honor the Jewish community and reflect on the atrocities committed during the Holocaust.
We must continue standing up to antisemitism, hatred, and injustice wherever it appears.
