ICYMI: No matter what is happening in Washington, I will continue to fight for federal funding for local projects that improve life for Rhode Islanders.
$850,000 of new federal funding is coming to the South Kingstown Housing Authority to build a new community center at Champagne Heights, to create a place for residents to connect and access services.
Modern school buildings improve attendance, boost reading levels, and raise test scores.
I am proud to cosponsor the Rebuild America’s Schools Act to invest in safe, modern classrooms for our kids. This was a priority of mine as State Treasurer and continues to be in Congress.

Both ordinary community members and members of the RI National Guard have the same mission after the Blizzard of '26: make Providence walkable.

The Supreme Court ruled that Trump’s tariffs, which drove up the cost of everything, are illegal. But now he is imposing new tariffs anyway.
Cut it out, Donald. Tariffs are taxes on working people. Enough already.
Today the House of Representatives stood in a moment of silence for the victims of the shooting at Lynch Arena. Thank you to my colleague @amo.house.gov for leading us.
It’s nice that President Trump acknowledged we need to end stock trading in Congress.
But the bill he mentioned is a watered down version that wouldn’t ban trading.
My Restore Trust in Gvmt Act is a full ban for Congress and also the President. This is what we need to pass.
Spent some time shoveling out seniors on Federal Hill with City Council President Rachel Miller.
Check in on your neighbors, and don’t be afraid to ask for help if you or anyone you know is stuck!
The President is giving his State of the Union address tonight, but I am most needed here in Rhode Island, helping to dig out our neighbors from the record snowfall.
Stay off the road today, Rhode Island, and check in on your neighbors.
⚠️ Rhode Islanders are being urged to stay off the roads as we brace this storm. For updates on office and school closings over the next several days, find lists here: www.ribroadcasters.com/news_and_eve...
🚨 As this blizzard reaches historic levels, I am joining my delegation colleagues to make sure RI gets the federal resources it needs without delay.
Rhode Islanders are being hit hard, and we will work to ensure support is approved and delivered as quickly as possible.
Road conditions are extremely dangerous right now. Continue to stay off the roads so that first responders and plows can do their jobs.
Your safety and the safety of others depends on it.
🚨 Americans in Jalisco State, Tamaulipas State, Michoacan State, Guerrero State, and Nuevo Leon State are advised to shelter.

Good news for Mount Pleasant: we’ve secured $250,000 of federal funding for Conley Stadium to repair the bleachers and make game days even better for Mount Pleasant High School students and the surrounding community.
The tragedies at Brown University and Lynch Arena have shown that every second counts in an emergency. I joined the Warwick Police Department to announce $800,000 of federal funding to upgrade their radio systems, helping officers respond to crises faster and save lives.
The @universityofri.bsky.social Women's basketball team is having a phenomenal season. Awesome energy in the Ryan Center today!🏀🐏 #GoRhody
There is a blizzard warning starting tomorrow through Tuesday. Make sure to be prepared and stay safe.
