Deeply concerned Elon Musk & DOGE got access to Treasury data & Social Security & Medicare payment systems. Getting a ton of calls from residents concerned about their personal data being shared with an unelected billionaire. I’m committed to protecting against this.

Trump’s tariffs are being called “The Dumbest Trade War in History,” & estim. to raise costs $1,250/family. Even w a temporary pause on Mexico, the stakes are high & he expects the rest of us to pay. The President is using a sledgehammer where a scalpel is necessary.

Proud to be selected for Carbon180's Member of the Year award.
Climate change affects communities everywhere, including my district. Carbon removal will continue to be a crucial mitigation strategy as we navigate the worsening impacts of climate change.

As a member of the CAPAC, our committee leadership is 100% on point - Trump's callous and totally unwarranted statements are harmful and completely inappropriate.
My heart goes out to the victims and families impacted by the tragic collision at Reagan National Airport.
I am grateful for the brave first responders who worked tirelessly through the night on recovery efforts.
Proud of America for pushing back - this was a cruel & ill-planned attempt to strip the public of federal funding for services that support health care, housing, food, education & more. Unfortunately the Trump Administration's playbook is about causing chaos & confusion.

I'm proud to represent a district with a diverse AAPI community, which has taught me about the vibrant & unique culture of Lunar New Year.
I join my Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus colleagues in wishing you and your family a joyous & prosperous year of the snake. Happy Lunar New Year!
A judge just blocked Trump's attempt to freeze federal funding for critical community services until Monday. It's a temporary reprieve from the totally unnecessary chaos caused by this callous action. For more on my reaction:

President Trump's executive order asserted an immediate pause of infrastructure projects that are restoring communities & lowering costs for millions. I’m leading over 150 House Democrats in demanding the release of a full list of frozen initiatives.

The Trump Administration’s decision to freeze congressionally-approved federal funding is dangerously cruel and incredibly disruptive to communities relying on support for critical services and necessary infrastructure improvements.

President Trump’s decision to immediately stop working with the WHO is a reckless move that puts global health at risk. This undermines efforts to coordinate a unified response to pandemics and makes it harder to address emerging health threats.

Today is International Holocaust Remembrance Day, the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau and a reminder of the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust.
It is a time to reflect on lessons from history and recommit to standing against antisemitism.
It’s been 12 years since the ban on women serving in direct combat in the US military was lifted. Since then thousands of brave women have served in combat roles. Grateful for the servicewomen putting their lives on the line for our country

As climate change worsens, emergency preparedness is more crucial than ever. While improvements to FEMA are needed, it's a life-saving agency people rely on.
We should be providing more support for FEMA as we navigate a new era of extreme weather, not threatening to eliminate it.
Regardless of your immigration status, you have guaranteed rights under the Constitution. #KnowYourRights --> swipe right for more.
A Republican-appointed judge called Trump's ridiculous executive order trying to redefine birthright citizenship "blatantly unconstitutional" apnews.com/article/birt...

Last year, I toured a local Planned Parenthood in my district that offers critical preventative health care for families & I heard how the loss of Roe v. Wade protections in other states has led to demand for more services in CA. Dobbs has real consequences even in states with reproductive rights.
Since Dobbs v. Jackson, millions of women have lost access to crucial, life-saving healthcare. Bodily autonomy decisions should be kept between healthcare providers and patients.
On the 52nd anniversary of Roe v. Wade, I join @reprocaucus.bsky.social in protecting your reproductive rights.
