From preschoolers to seniors, labor leaders and workers, social service agencies and small businesses, I’ve enjoyed meeting with so many Rhode Islanders in 2025. Hearing their perspectives guides my work in Congress. I will keep listening and elevating their stories in 2026.
Middle-income families, early retirees & small businesses make up the people who will be hardest hit by the expiration of the ACA tax credits. Premiums are about to skyrocket and force impossible choices. Congress must vote resoundingly to lower health care costs.
Enjoyed meeting Rhode Island’s National American Miss Jr. Teen, Gabriela Paulino. To show gratitude for the lifesaving efforts after her own premature birth, she started a nonprofit to support NICUs. Gabriela’s work shows you're never too young to give back!

Republican cuts to clean energy tax credits in their Big, Ugly, Law mean higher energy costs for Rhode Islanders.📈 I’m supporting @mikethompson.house.gov’s American Energy Independence and Affordability Act to ⚡bolster clean energy production 📉 lower costs 🦺 protect American jobs
Merry Christmas, Rhode Island! In the spirit of our state’s motto, I hope the holidays bring us closer together to renew our commitment to brighter days ahead.
’Twas the night before Christmas throughout #RI01, Not a creature was stirring, a mouse there was none. As children rest easy & stockings are hung, I’m grateful for neighbors, old & young. From Newport to Woonsocket and everywhere lights glow bright, Merry Christmas to all, & to all a good night!
After dozens of mysterious drone sightings throughout the northeast last year, we need to know what’s in our skies. I’m proud to join Congressman Kean on our bipartisan Drone Safety Enhancement Act to make sure we use this new tech for good.
Joined community members at the Nonviolence Institute for the Night of Remembrance to honor loved ones lost to acts of violence. Thank you to the institute for supporting so many navigating the long process of grieving and healing.
