Trump's CHOICE to cut off food assistance in November isn't just cruel—it's illegal. The money is there, and letting families starve during this GOP shutdown is a violent policy choice. I'm glad @massago.bsky.social is suing to force this Administration to fund SNAP & keep families fed.
Attorney General Andrea Campbell and 21 other state attorneys general filed suit against the Trump administration for “unlawfully” suspending SNAP payments set to run out Nov. 1 amid the ongoing government shutdown, officials said.
Under Republicans' govt shutdown, families could stop receiving food assistance on Nov. 1. Trump has the authority & money to fund SNAP benefits through November, but he's currently choosing not to. We're calling on the @USDA to reverse course and act NOW to feed our families.

What our Chelsea schools have experienced in the last 10 months is harrowing. Masked agents abducting our students, parents, & neighbors. The freezing of federal funds our schools rely on. I held a wellness check-in at Chelsea High because we're choosing community over chaos.

It is an injustice for disabled women to be paid just 56 cents for every dollar paid to nondisabled men. I introduced a resolution with Congresswoman Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick to commemorate Disabled Women’s Equal Pay Day and affirm that disabled women deserve to be treated with dignity & respect.
Black boy joy is beautiful and should be a birthright. I joined community leaders and families to celebrate Black boy brilliance at Roxbury's Black Boy Joy Summit. It was a joyous day of workshops, inspiration, and empowerment for our Black boys that call the #MA7 home.

"We are closing up Democrat programs that we disagree with, and they’re never going to open again.” No, these are not Democratic or Republican programs—these are life-saving resources that help families make ends meet. This is illegal & everyone will be harmed.
Trump is weaponizing the Republican government shutdown to attack students with disabilities. He's firing the federal workers that protect and enforce the rights of students with disabilities. We won’t let him get away with this.
I called on @nationalgrid.bsky.social & @eversource.bsky.social to keep electricity & heat on for federal workers & contractors while they miss paychecks during the GOP shutdown.   Nat. Grid responded with a payment plan opportunity—call 1-800-322-3223 for more.   I'll keep fighting to support you.
📢#MA7: If you’ve been impacted by the cruelty of this hostile Trump Administration—by layoffs, the Republican govt shutdown, canceled federal funding, & more: I'm listening, and I want to hear from you. Please share your story at Pressley.House.Gov/ShareYourStory.
Head Start educators are doing everything they can to keep classrooms open & support our babies. But this Republican govt shutdown is threatening services for over 65K families, including 183 in Somerville & Cambridge. Republicans must reopen the govt & stop harming families.
As members of Congress, it's our job to conduct oversight, & that's exactly what @replamonica.bsky.social did at an ICE facility this year. Now, Trump is attacking this honorable Black woman for holding his lawless administration accountable—but we won’t let him. We stand with Rep. McIver.
I’m going to continue to show up to protect us, to protect the people of the 10th Congressional District, of New Jersey, and of this country. Because we need protection, and we have to continue to hold this administration accountable.
After our pressure, @nationalgrid.bsky.social announced a payment plan opportunity for federal workers & contractors impacted by the Republican government shutdown. Those needing assistance should call their hotline without delay: 1-800-322-3223. I call on @eversource.bsky.social to follow suit.
Thousands of federal workers & contractors in Massachusetts are missing paychecks because of the Republican govt shutdown. That's why I’m urging @nationalgrid.bsky.social & @eversource.bsky.social to make sure the electricity & heat stay on for their families. No shutoffs, late fees, or interest.
