We need to keep giving Ukraine a fighting chance against Russia. We are the ONLY THING keeping him from taking the country and the rest of Eastern Europe.
This week, I voted YES on two War Powers Resolutions to stop Trump from continuing his wars in the Middle East.
Americans are no better off than they were before the war with Iran—we can not let this catastrophe spread to Lebanon and other countries.
But I also call on my Senate colleagues to reject Trump’s nomination of Todd Blanche as Attorney General. He has already shown he would rather get political vengeance for the president instead of justice for the American people.
Trump is not letting go of his $1.776 billion slush fund. That’s why I’m working with Rep. Larson to force 100% of checks from this criminal bailout to go back to public services.
Andrew Boutros must resign. His time as Interim AG has been an unmitigated disaster, marred by misconduct and blatant attempts to subvert the rule of law to please Trump. There must be a non-partisan, transparent process to replace him.
Chicagoans deserve a justice system they can trust.
June is also Men’s Health Month—a time where we raise awareness about the physical and mental health challenges facing men and boys today.
This Men’s Health Month, please join me in ending the stigma on men's health. It's okay not to be okay.
Trans people have always been a part of the American story.
This Pride Month, they need our help now more than ever🇺🇸🏳️⚧️
Marimar Martinez wasn't assaulting anyone when she was shot five times.
And your officers spent two months lying about it.
Trump is using the Justice Department and ATF to rollback 34 different firearms regulations. He would rather cater to the NRA than keep Americans safe.
As Vice Chair of the Gun Violence Prevention Task Force, I’m proud to join @morelle.house.gov in pushing to keep these policies in place.
The government should treat LGBTQ+ stories the same way they treat straight stories. It's that simple.
It’s ridiculous that in 2026 we still have to say this.
Really enjoyed attending @aldermanmattmartin.bsky.social's EcoFest this year! From small enviro businesses to lakefront conservationists, events like EcoFest prove that the real work starts at home.
Immigrants make our country a stronger and more interesting place. That’s why I’m continuing to stick up for our immigrant friends. Diversity is our strength — not a weakness.
June is also Immigrant Heritage Month!
Trump’s narrative that immigration detracts from our country is not reality. The free market @cato.org found that immigrants contribute nearly $100k more per capita in taxes compared to the average U.S. citizen.
Actually, Congressman, homophobia has no place in America.
This week, I had the honor of speaking at the eighth grade graduations of Ravenswood Elementary and Greeley Elementary!
Congrats to all the graduates, parents, and teachers this year🎓️
I’m urging my colleagues in the Senate to reject Pulte's nomination. He has zero intelligence or defense experience, and America can not afford another Signalgate-style mishap while we’re at war with Iran.
We can’t let Trump treat our national security and our troops like a joke.
Trump values political litmus tests over our national security—that's why he put Pete Hegseth, Mike Waltz, and Tulsi Gabbard in positions of power. Now, he’s tapping real estate executive and MAGA loyalist Bill Pulte to be the new Director of National Intelligence.
Yesterday, on the first day of Pride month, an appeals court ruled that the military’s trans ban is illegal. Reality has a fitting sense of irony.
To all our transgender servicemembers, we see you, we support you, and we thank you for your service. We will continue to fight for your rights🇺🇸🏳️⚧️
As Vice Chair of the Gun Violence Prevention Task Force, I’m fighting to keep Chicago and other communities safer from gun violence. My TRACE Act would keep Americans safer by repealing restrictions on gun trace data and allowing ATF to track the movement of illegal firearms across state lines.
June is also Gun Violence Awareness Month. In 2026 alone, there have been over 163 mass shootings in the United States.
