Trump’s bizarre social media attacks on President Obama are not only unsettling — they’re an attempt to rewrite history. As someone who took part in the 2016 Russia investigation, allow me to remind Trump and Republicans that despite their best efforts, the truth remains.
I’m joining @pocan.house.gov, @sarajacobs.house.gov, and over 40 members of Congress in demanding Rubio release the remaining 220,000 viable mpox vaccines to our friends in Africa. (2/2)
Global health programs don’t just keep other countries safe — they keep Americans safe. Under Donald Trump, the United States has wasted over 800,000 mpox vaccines that were promised to African nations experiencing outbreaks. (1/2)
Yesterday, I introduced an amendment for European Bank for Reconstruction and Development funding. EBRD supports economic growth abroad, reduces other countries' dependence on Russia and China, and has played a critical role in supporting Ukraine throughout its fight against Putin.
With violence against Palestinian civilians increasing every day, we can not let his death — the death of an American — go unanswered. (2/2)
🚨SOCIAL SECURITY ALERT🚨 The Trump administration is ending paper checks for #SocialSecurity recipients starting September 30 — with no regard for seniors, the blind, or those without easy internet access. (1/2)
For many countries, our international aid programs are the primary way they interact with the United States. Trump’s bill to slash global health funding will cause preventable deaths and push our allies towards our adversaries. #USAID
🔥HEAT WARNING from Chicago OEMC🔥 Tomorrow and Thursday’s heat and humidity will make it feel like it’s over 100°F! Here are some tips to keep cool.
I am again calling for an immediate #ceasefire in Gaza and for Israel to reinstate UN control of humanitarian aid distribution. Read my full statement below. (2/2)
I am horrified by the murder of 20‑year‑old Palestinian‑American Sayfollah Musallet in the West Bank. I am equally horrified by the 94 Palestinians who were killed while seeking food aid and at least 33 people, including 12 children, who died of starvation. (1/2)
Speaker Johnson doesn't mind keeping the House in session to cut healthcare for 17 million Americans, but he draws the line at exposing child predators.
So great welcoming Kalyani Manjunadh, the winner of this year’s Congressional Art Competition, to Capitol Hill earlier this summer. Kalyani’s piece ‘Child’s Play’ is currently on display in the U.S. Capitol, where it will be till next year’s competition ends🎨
I’m dismayed at CBS’ decision to cancel The Late Show with Stephen #Colbert. I had the privilege of joining The Colbert Report many years ago and have always appreciated his commitment to humor, positivity, and free speech.
