Undocumented immigrants, who can’t even get healthcare tax credits under the ACA, and are regulated by the Department of Homeland Security, which Republicans also control. Democrats are here fighting for your healthcare.
Speaker Johnson, you sent a bill to the Senate 39 days ago that cannot muster the votes to pass. Bring back the Republicans, reconvene the House, and let’s do the work the American people sent us to do.
There are clear, established rules for any renovation of the White House. This President ignored them, demolishing the East Wing to build his ballroom. The White House represents more than any one person or administration — it’s a symbol of our shared history and democracy.
Celebrating Sheriff Tom Ferrara’s incredible career — more than 45 years of service to our community and over a decade leading the Solano County Sheriff’s Office. Thank you, Tom, for your integrity, leadership, and lifelong dedication to public safety.
Proud to welcome this year’s Student Leadership Council at UC Davis! I started the SLC eight years ago to give students the tools to lead — and today, our nearly 250 alumni are tackling the biggest challenges of our time, from climate change to strengthening our democracy.
Today marks the 7th anniversary of the mass shooting outside the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh. May we continue to honor the victims with action and work towards a world without gun violence.
It’s day 300 of the year, and there have already been more than 351 mass shootings in our country. We don’t have to live this way, and as Chair of the Gun violence Prevention Task Force, I’ll continue to fight towards a world without gun violence.
Honored to join the Dorrance family and @giffords.org in Napa for the Wine Country Unites kickoff, honoring 9-year-old Evelyn Dieckhaus, the Dorrances’ niece, who was tragically killed in the Covenant School shooting.
We won’t be intimidated — and we won’t allow the President to misuse our military to police our communities. The law is clear: the Insurrection Act doesn’t give him that power. I led fellow Democratic colleagues in warning this president to stand down and respect the Constitution.
Millions of families shouldn’t go hungry because of a government shutdown. I joined 212 of my Democratic colleagues in urging USDA to use every tool available to fund SNAP so 42 million Americans — including 35,505 households in our district — can continue putting food on the table.
People in our community aren’t asking for a handout — they’re asking for fairness and stability in their health care. Everyone deserves access to quality, affordable healthcare, and that’s what I’m fighting for.
Two years ago today, 18 lives were tragically taken in the mass shooting in Lewiston, Maine. We remember those we lost and stand with the survivors, families, and community still healing from this unimaginable tragedy. May we honor them with action to end gun violence.
Thank you to Caltrans and the Sonoma Valley Transportation Authority for delivering this much-needed improvement for Sonoma County. I'm glad I could chat with Supervisor Rebecca Hermosillo about how we helped in this great federal, state, and local partnership.
There’s never been a transportation problem that called out louder for a round about solution than this one. Roundabouts are safe, better for our environment and save taxpayers money.
There's a process for remodeling the White House and it should be followed. President Trump’s decision to completely demolish the East Wing of the White House to build a ballroom shows a total disregard for our history, our institutions, and the people’s house. www.nbcnews.com/politics/whi...
Rising health care premiums will hit independent contractors and small business owners especially hard. Congressional Republicans are driving up costs and undermining Americans’ ability to stay insured and save for their future.
