Trump’s attempts to force @risecstate.bsky.social to share RI’ers most sensitive personal information is an abuse of power. This is just Trump’s latest scheme to usurp the constitutional authority of states. Thank you, Secretary Amore, for standing up for privacy and free & fair elections.
Thank you to all the Rhode Islanders who called in tonight to speak with HealthSourceRI Director Lang and me about open enrollment and the Republican health care crisis. Let’s keep up the fight to lower costs and save health care.
Whether you know him as the Grim Reaper or Shadow President, Russ Vought is flouting the law, withholding appropriated resources, and inflicting economic harm on the American people. @housebudgetdems.bsky.social are demanding an explanation.
Bombing boats out of the water and killing at least 83 people is the act of a dictator, not the president of a democracy. Secretary of War Crimes Pete Hegseth must go.
House Republicans have been trying to gut the ACA for 15 years, and they still don’t have a plan. If Trump and Republicans don’t act to extend the tax credits that 22 million Americans rely on to afford care, Rhode Islanders like Marlene will see their costs skyrocket. Here’s her story.
#OTD 70 years ago, Rosa Parks sat down and stood up for civil rights — changing the course of history. Proud to co-sponsor @sewell.house.gov’s bill to designate December 1st as Rosa Parks Day and honor her legacy in the fight for equality.
Proud to receive a 100% on the 2025 Humane World Action Fund scorecard. I’ll keep working in Congress to protect our furry, feathered, and even flightless friends!🐾🪶🦎
SAVE THE DATE: 6:30 PM Tuesday, December 2nd, I’ll be hosting a telephone town hall with HealthSourceRI Director Lindsay Lang to answer questions about open enrollment and share what I’m doing in Washington to stop Republicans’ health care crisis.
Got to see the work of some of our area’s talented artisans at Waterfire Arts Center this #SmallBusinessSaturday! Really appreciated speaking with local makers and checking out their Rhode Island-based creations.
It’s officially Christmas time on Federal Hill now that the DePasquale Plaza tree is lit! 🎄 Thank you to the Federal Hill Commerce Association & all the performers who helped ring in the holiday season.
Great to drop by the West End of Providence for Black Market Place RI’s 6th Annual Holiday Bazaar for great food, music, and vendors for holiday gifts. 🥙🎶🎁
As the son of a small business owner, I know how important small businesses are to our communities. This #SmallBusinessSaturday, remember to shop small, shop local and give your business to a neighbor.
Thanks to the hard work of the Warren Holiday Festival Committee, I kicked off the season at the Main Street Light Ceremony. Wonderful to see so many people getting into the holiday spirit!
I’m saddened by the death of National Guard member Spc. Sarah Beckstrom after the horrific attack in D.C. My thoughts are with her family as they mourn her loss. I’m praying that Staff Sgt. Andrew Wolfe recovers from his injuries. I thank them for their service to our nation.
My thoughts are with the National Guardsmen shot in our nation’s capital. They signed up to serve, away from home for the holiday, but like too many others were hit by the scourge of gun violence. Thank you to law enforcement for the quick response.
