This week, the House AI task force published their long-awaited report.
One of their recommendations?
Investing in AI literacy for K-12 students — a key provision of my bipartisan LIFT AI Act with Congressman Kean Jr. (NJ-07)

ICYMI: I joined @iandonnis.bsky.social last week to share happenings in my first year in office and my focus on holding the next Administration accountable, addressing Americans’ priorities, and making our voices heard in the next Congress.

Following the recent RI Bridges cyberattack, I joined @reed.senate.gov, @whitehouse.senate.gov, and @magaziner.house.gov in urging the federal government to help Rhode Islanders enrolled in critical affected programs like SNAP and Medicaid continue to secure their benefits.
Joined faith and community leaders last night to celebrate the Christmas season at the King’s Tabernacle Royal Banquet.
Thank you to Pastor Chris for bringing us together for a great evening!
Rhode Islanders affected by the RIBridges data breach can take the following steps to protect your sensitive information:
❄️ Freeze your credit
Set up 2️⃣-factor authentication
A call center will also be open M - F from 9 AM to 9 PM

In this season of giving, I joined Hearts of Kindness, the Unity Project, and Cape Verdean American Community Development in Pawtucket to give away toys and spread holiday cheer!
Thank you to the dedicated team at Community Angels who worked around the clock to bring smiles to the faces of more than 3,000 children and families today at their toy giveway!
12 years after #SandyHook, we remember the 26 lives senselessly cut short by gun violence.
We must stay at our work to #EndGunViolence and that’s why I’ll continue to advance legislation to stem the flow of guns to our communities.
Happy 10th anniversary of being a national park, Blackstone Valley National Historical Park!
With the recent discovery of an 18th-century chocolate mill on the grounds, this jewel of our state & region shapes our understanding of the Blackstone Valley’s history.
Today, I’m proud to join supporters of common-sense gun safety measures to introduce the Responsible Retirement of Law Enforcement Firearms Act.
This legislation will help stem the flow of former police weapons and curb the epidemic of gun violence that is tearing communities apart.
A CBS News investigation found that over 52,000 retired police guns have been found at crime scenes in the U.S. since 2006.
With such a clear connection, we need federal legislation to prevent these weapons from ending up in the wrong hands.
This is the right call by President Biden.
I thank him for using his clemency and pardon powers to provide second chances for deserving individuals in the federal criminal justice system.

Congress has an end of year to-do list a mile long — funding the government, passing the NDAA, and bringing down costs for American families.
What are House Republicans putting on the floor instead?
The Liberty in Laundry Act.
Seriously???

Very excited to join Reps. Brittany Pettersen and Gabe Amo as co-Chairs of the Future Forum Caucus.
Too often, young people in America are undervalued and overlooked—we're working to change that.
Excited to serve as a Co-Chair of Future Forum Congress alongside Rep. Pettersen and @repmcgarvey.bsky.social
This new generation of leaders will be defending our values, advocating for common sense solutions and advancing economic prosperity for every American.
Let’s get to work!
Every year, over 17 million students fill out the FAFSA, including 7,440 Rhode Islanders.
I’m grateful to RISLA for all of their work to help countless families seek out and obtain critical federal student aid.
With cyber threats on the rise, I was proud to join the RI Dept. of Education, the White House ONCD, Governor Dan Mckee, and Jim Langevin today to announce Rhode Island’s schools will be leading the nation in cybersecurity thanks to new tools in every K-12 public school and library across the state!
On the 82nd anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, we honor the servicemembers and civilians who lost their lives or were wounded.
Today, let us commemorate the bravery and resilience demonstrated on that fateful day and thank the Americans who answered the call to serve.
As we work to keep our communities safe, I’m proud to join my colleagues in securing nearly $10 million for initiatives that will help reduce crime, assist survivors of violence, and improve public safety in Rhode Island.
In October, I led a tour of Rhode Island's Blue Economy to talk w/ business & labor, academics, & nonprofits spurring innovation & growth.
Today, @globeri.bsky.social published my op-ed discussing the importance of the Blue Economy to our state’s future.
