Julia Brownley

Julia Andrews Brownley is an American businesswoman and politician who has been the United States representative for California's 26th congressional district since 2013. A Democrat, she served in the California State Assembly from 2006 to 2012. Before her political career, she worked in marketing and sales.

During my recent visit to Oxnard Family Circle, I saw the faces of those who would be directly impacted by these cuts. The center plays a critical role in empowering seniors through care management, adult day health services, and veteran-specific care.
Community-Based Adult Services are essential for veterans, seniors, and low-income individuals. Unfortunately, the proposed Republican budget threatens to gut Medicaid, leading to devastating cuts that could drastically reduce services at CBAS centers like Oxnard Family Circle.
Social Security delivers – no matter what. While markets are volatile and retirement savings swing unpredictably, Social Security is working to provide stability for seniors, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and vulnerable populations across the country.
