The FCC approved multilingual alerts, but the Trump administration is holding up implementation. Lives are at stake.

Thanks to the #TrumpTax, POLA had their slowest month in two years, longshore jobs are down by 50%, and truckers are carrying almost half their usual loads.
These tariffs are bad for business, bad for consumers, bad for workers, and need to end.

In today's Democratic Daily Download, @repstaceyplaskett.bsky.social shares the rich contributions of Caribbean Americans to our nation's fabric and discusses the importance of celebrating our diverse cultures, traditions, and achievements during Caribbean American Heritage Month.
Last week, Congress came together to play in the annual Congressional Baseball Game — where we raised $2.81 million for local charities!
Members and Senators alike showed off their skills on the field to help raise money for a good cause.
Wishing all fathers and father figures a happy Father's Day! May you find time with your family and friends to celebrate those who make invaluable contributions every day to our community.
There’s NO room for KINGS in a democracy. Show up. Show out. Make your voices heard. Protest PEACEFULLY. #NoKing
Devastated by this news. State Rep. Hortman and her husband were murdered in a political assassination. State Sen. Hoffman and his wife are fighting to recover.
This is horrifying. We can’t allow political violence to become normalized. My heart is with their families & all of Minnesota.
What we just witnessed is outrageous & should never happen in a democracy: a sitting U.S. Senator was violently thrown to the ground and handcuffed. He was removed from a press conference for challenging the administration’s false & dangerous claims about what is happening in LA.
See my statement:
The Trump Administration indicted @replamonica.bsky.social for doing her job. They refuse oversight because they don’t want to be held accountable to the American people. I stand in support of Rep. McIver as she fights these baseless, political charges.

@rephaleystevens.bsky.social lays out how the One Big Ugly Bill will cut health care for 16 million people, in Michigan and across the country, and hurt critical industries that power the American economy.
#DACA recipients are American in every way but on paper. They have lived here for most of their lives. But w/o urgent action, nearly 1 million U.S. citizen family members could face separation from a DACA loved one.
We need to deliver permanent protections for DACA recipients & Dreamers. #HomeIsHere
Trump said he would go after violent criminals to deport — instead he and Stephen Miller have targeted entire communities, the City of Los Angeles, and LA County with indiscriminate ICE raids where seemingly anyone who is Latino could be a target and snatched up.
That is NOT the American way.

On today’s Democratic Daily Download, @cisneros.house.gov talks about Donald Trump trying to distract the American people from his plans to throw 16 million Americans off the health care to pay for billionaire tax breaks.
Violence, vandalism, and destruction of property in LA are unacceptable and those who resort to these actions should be arrested and prosecuted.
Please protest peacefully.

On today’s Democratic Daily Download, @repricklarsen.bsky.social shares how Republican Medicaid cuts will impact YOU. House Democrats are fighting like hell to protect Medicaid because your friends and neighbors depend on it.
While Donald Trump continues to distract from his nightmare economic policies, @housedemocrats.bsky.social are making sure to hold him & House Rs accountable for hitting people in the pocketbook.

What’s happening in LA isn’t just about ICE raids, it’s a coordinated push for mass deportations. Donald Trump is targeting our neighbors, our coworkers, people who’ve been here for decades. It’s cruel, and it’s a distraction from the President’s failed policies.
Join me LIVE on CNN’s State of the Union at 9 AM EST as we discuss the ICE raids in LA County, the protests in Paramount, and the response.

ICE has brought their terror tactics and masked agents to #Paramount this morning - in my district. This is unacceptable. We will demand answers and accountability.
For those out there - please stay safe, protest peacefully, and KNOW YOUR RIGHTS.
I stand with David and @seiuca.bsky.social.
