2 people were murdered outside the Capital Jewish Museum last night. There's no justification, and murdering innocent people does not make anyone, including Palestinians, safer. I mourn with everyone affected and I pray for the end to antisemitism & hate of all kinds. May their memory be a blessing.

Millions will be kicked off their health care. Hospitals will close. Kids will go hungry because they slashed food assistance. This isn’t fear mongering. These will be the very real consequences of their budget.
Now it goes to the Senate. There’s still time to fight.
Dear Americans,
Republicans in the House just passed the largest transfer of wealth in history to the top 1%. Those of us with the least amount of money will suffer the most.
The latest version of the budget is out with all the side deals and back room promises from Trump over the last few days.
But the cruelty hasn’t changed, Medicaid cuts, increasing taxes for low income, and cutting taxes for the richest is all there.
We’ll be voting overnight.
The idea that this "palace in the sky" luxury jet is a gift to Trump from Qatar with no strings attached is pure fantasy.
Very sad to hear this news. We thank Congressman Connolly for his decades of service and we wish his loved ones nothing but peace and healing.
The charges against @replamonica.bsky.social are baseless. It's an attempt by the Trump admin to intimidate members of Congress of the opposition party. This is what wannabe authoritarians do.
Rep. McIver was doing her job conducting oversight at an ICE facility. We stand with her.
Here's the latest on Trump's Big, Ugly Bill that would be the biggest transfer of wealth from working people to rich people in history. I'll be at Rules early Wednesday morning.
This is the epitome of how the GOP operates to pass Trump's agenda: back room deals in the middle of the night kept in secret and then forcing a vote that will leave millions without health care.
The same thing will happen in the Rules Committee, which starts tonight at 1:00 AM.
This can't be the "merit-based" hiring Trump's been talking about! 😂
Kristi Noem cannot answer simple, basic questions about the principles this country was founded on. It would be funny if it wasn't so embarrassing.
The Trump admin is afraid of oversight and accountability. So they are going after Rep. McIver to scare us into silence. Members of Congress have a duty and right to conduct oversight. We won’t be intimated. This is straight out of the authoritarian playbook. I stand with Rep McIver.
Here's what I would tell my middle school students whenever they were having a lot of emotions: your feelings are valid, but it doesn't give you the right to take it out on other people. Take a short timeout until you can calm down, then come back and join the class.
Trump doesn't want to record history and data on the devastating effects of climate change that he has extraordinarily heightened.
This will touch every state. And will no doubt make us less safe.
Yes, we stopped it for the time being, but we're not out of the woods yet. Lots more work to do and pressure to maintain to stop cuts to Medicaid.
Terrible news. My heart breaks for President Biden, Jill, and their entire family. Praying for strength, healing, and joy whenever possible for the family during this extremely challenging time. All love and light.
Former President Biden was diagnosed Friday with an aggressive form of prostate cancer that has spread to his bones, his office said in a statement on Sunday. www.nytimes.com/2025/05/18/u...
“When you look at the Democrats, they actually look like America. When I look at my party, we look like the most restrictive country club in America.”
—Former Speaker Kevin McCarthy, 2023
I was a history teacher and I know we have to be documenting this moment. When we look back, I don’t want us to say we didn’t know what was happening.
Stephen Miller, probably the most joyless man in America, wants to take away one of our most foundational rights, habeas corpus.
Slashing Medicaid is not fiscal responsibility — it is moral failure. 1 in 5 Americans are at risk of losing their healthcare.
BREAKING: Democrats on the Budget Committee just took down Trump's budget which cuts Medicaid and food assistance to pay for billionaire tax breaks.
This budget is disastrous and cruel and we stopped it. Republicans have no mandate to rip away health care and food assistance from families.
