Had an incredible time today seeing thousands of people all across my district come out in support of all the No Kings rallies! It’s inspiring to see this movement grow and bring so many voices together to protect our democracy. 🇺🇸

If Trump is willing to go after Senator Padilla, imagine what he’d do to everyday Americans. California Democrats, and House Democrats, stand united with @padilla.senate.gov.
Just wrapped up a press conference with @housedemocrats.bsky.social demanding answers for the treatment of @padilla.senate.gov, who was violently handcuffed by Trump's DHS officials for doing his job. Here are my thoughts:
Treating @padilla.senate.gov this way shows what this is about: crushing dissent. Not even a U.S. Senator doing his job is exempt from Trump's wrath and need for control.
TODAY, I am joined by @cisneros.house.gov,
@congresstran.bsky.social, @chirla-org.bsky.social & @aclu.org at the Adelanto ICE Processing Center to demand answers about unjustly detained immigrants after targeted raids on LA businesses. ICE is denying us entry but we won’t stop demanding answers.
We stood up to Trump’s cruel bans before, and we’re ready to do it again. We're not backing down.
This latest move is not just a distraction from his recent failures, it is dangerous, and we’ll keep fighting.
We first introduced the NO BAN Act in response to Trump’s 2017 Muslim Ban, which tore countless families apart. While President Biden rescinded the ban, Trump bringing it back is further evidence that Congress needs to act.
That’s why Senator Chris Coons and I have reintroduced the NO BAN Act.
This bill would stop Trump’s unfair, un-American ban and ensure no president can bar entire categories of people from the U.S. because of their religion.
Just now, Trump has re-issued his disgusting, bigoted, and Islamophobic travel ban.
This goes against our core American values while doing nothing to make us safer.
We can do better, we must do better.

Manipulating government data to cover for Trump’s failures? That’s dangerous, dishonest, and authoritarian. www.politico.com/news/2025/06...
I led 27 California Delegation Members in urging
FEMA to fund soil testing AND remediation for homes impacted by the Eaton & Palisades Fires. Survivors shouldn’t have to choose between safety & rebuilding. pasadenanow.com/main/pasaden...
As we celebrate Pride, we remember the accomplishments and sacrifices of previous generations while we continue to strive toward basic respect, freedom and human dignity for all individuals.
I will always fight for equal rights for the LGBTQIA+ Community!
As the first Chinese American woman elected to Congress and Chair Emerita of @capac.house.gov, I am disgusted by Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s statement that the U.S. will 'aggressively' revoke visas for Chinese students.
Yesterday, I hosted a wildfire recovery housing roundtable to tackle one of the biggest challenges after the Eaton Fire: finding stable, long-term housing. I brought together nonprofits, advocates & all levels of government to find real solutions for displaced families. youtube.com/shorts/RYPe2...
Bought & paid for.
Paul Walczak pled guilty to stealing millions from nursing home workers. But because his mom gave $1 million to Trump, he was pardoned.
In the end, the only people who will be punished for his crime are the employees he stole millions of dollars from. nytimes.com/2025/05/27/u...
Heartbreaking: A 4-year-old came here legally with her family for life-saving care. Yet Trump still seeks to deport her despite doctors warning she could die. It’s cruel and inexcusable. www.latimes.com/california/s...
It was a privilege to join Veterans in Sierra Madre, Monrovia, San Marino, and San Gabriel this Memorial Day weekend. We can never repay those who gave their lives for our country, but we’ll always remember their sacrifice and be deeply grateful.
On Harvey Milk Day, we honor a trailblazing Californian who fought for equality as one of the first openly gay elected officials.
Let’s carry his legacy forward by celebrating diversity and making sure everyone can be their true authentic self.
