Under Trump, our economy is doing worse.
We've got to grow the size of the economic pie for everyone & help make sure hardworking people get a bigger slice. That means NOT starting a reckless trade war & NOT doubling down on the myth of trickle down econ by funneling tax giveaways to billionaires.
Now fire Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. www.foxnews.com/politics/mik...
I'm proud to join Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick in introducing the Public Service Worker Protection Act. It would expand federal workplace safety protections to all public sector workers. More ⤵️ (2/2)

Every American should expect to work in safe conditions and come home to their families at the end of the day. Still, too many state and local government workers aren't covered by safety protections on the job. (1/2)
I had to turn up the pressure on the Republican-proposed car tax increase in committee this morning.
Please contact your utility about any outages and call 911 to report any downed power lines.
Thanks to all of crews who are working hard to get people help and back online. My office will continue to monitor the situation. Be safe out there!
Following last night’s severe storm my office has been in touch with the utilities serving our communities. They are reporting hundreds of thousands of residents without power and this is expected to be a multi-day restoration effort. www.cbsnews.com/pittsburgh/n...
If we're gonna trust the adult Midshipmen at the U.S. Naval Academy to lead Marines and Sailors in harm's way, we can trust them to read books. It's indefensible to ban books from the library there—my alma mater—especially when you're hiding writings by Maya Angelou, but not Adolf Hitler.
Thanks to the A. Philip Randolph Institute - Pittsburgh Chapter for inviting me to speak at their conference! The fight for workers' rights and civil rights are inseparable. It’s why the powerful have always tried to divide hardworking people. And it's why solidarity and unity can mean real power.
There's still time to sign up to get a call and join my Telephone Town Hall tomorrow at 6pm. We'll be talking about protecting Social Security and healthcare. Sign up here: deluzio.house.gov/live
The Trump Administration wants to axe the Head Start childcare program, which supports 250+ centers in Western PA. Their attack would hurt those thousands of kids and families and jack up childcare costs for hardworking parents.
This is outrageous, and I'm gonna fight it.
Today is Workers' Memorial Day, a solemn time to honor workers who've been killed or hurt on the job. Today we remember the dead, and commit to fight for the living. ✊
Reminder that my Telephone Town Hall all about protecting Social Security and Healthcare is happening Tuesday night. Sign up here to join: deluzio.house.gov/live ☎️
We are fighting against this Administration when it tries to find new and cruel ways to make it harder for seniors to get their earned benefits. I won't stop demanding answers and standing up for Social Security. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...
It's simple: they're looking out for their corporate buddies. I joined 178 of my colleagues in a letter demanding they keep and improve the program. (2/2)
Costs are still way too high. Add on top of that: Americans spend over $100 billion every year to prepare and file their taxes. So why is this Administration planning to kill the free, easy-to-use, and popular Direct File program? (1/2)
The minimum wage of $7.25 is way too low, especially as prices keep rising. We need a govt that helps build an economy that rewards work, not just wealth. Raising the min wage is part of that, so I'm proud to co-sponsor the #RaiseTheWage Act to give roughly 22 million Americans a long-overdue raise.
...and sent out a save the date for my upcoming in-person Town Hall on May 17th.
I always want to hear from the people I'm honored to represent and serve.
If you don’t, maybe the job isn’t for you.

In the last week or so, I took questions at a chamber of commerce event in Beaver County, held an open Q&A at a senior living facility in Millvale, announced my upcoming Tele-Town Hall on Social Security & Healthcare on April 29... (1/2)
