In Western Pennsylvania, we teach our kids to stand up for their friends, to tell the truth, and that their word is a sacred bond. Our leaders should do the same. (2/2)

In just the last few hours, my office has already received around 50 calls from constituents sharing their disgust at President Trump’s treatment of our ally, Ukrainian President Zelenskyy. (1/2)
I'm a HARD NO on the GOP fiscally reckless budget plan to defund healthcare and throw more tax handouts to corporations and billionaires.
Thank you Governor Shapiro for having PA's back and fighting this illegal freeze of Congressionally-authorized funding. 💪

Remember that 30% of federal workers are veterans, like this constituent who shared their story with my office:
Thanks to Pittsburgh Regional Transit and ATU Local 85 for the ride to the airport to catch my flight down to Washington!
Through my role on the House Armed Services Committee, I will continue to fight against the politicization of our senior military ranks. [2/2]
We should expect the President to fire senior military officials for incompetence or failure to follow orders (exactly why Harry Truman sacked MacArthur).
But purging senior officers because they fail some political loyalty test—that’s what tyrants do. [1/2]
I hear it every time I ask railroad workers and safety experts: the rail industry can’t be trusted to regulate themselves.
We need to pass my Railway Safety Act and other reforms to make our communities safer.
My colleague is exactly right that folks in places like Western PA are mad that the economy isn’t working for them.
We cannot have government for corporate tycoons; we need a government of, by, and for the people who work hard and play by the rules.
That’s the American dream we need to restore.
I’ve seen the exhibit and highly recommend it! Check it out every weekend in February from 12-4pm at the Sherwood Event Center.

A great way to celebrate Black History Month here in #PA17: Hosanna House, Inc. in Wilkinsburg has an exhibit on loan from the Smithsonian highlighting the extraordinary achievements of the Tuskegee Airmen, the first Black military pilots in U.S. history.

Our nation has a sacred promise to care for those who wore the uniform. The VA just fired (dismissed?) 1,000+ employees. I'm digging in on the impacts, especially at VA PGH.
We should be strengthening not weakening the VA & it's workforce of public servants, many of whom are veterans themselves.
All those cuts just to fund more fiscally-reckless tax giveaways to huge corporations and the ultra rich.
I’m in for this fight. [2/2]
Medicaid covers 38% of healthcare for kids, and around 20% Allegheny County and Beaver County residents use Medicaid for their healthcare.
The Republican budget proposal would take a sledgehammer to Medicaid, gutting the healthcare of kids, people with disabilities, and so many others. [1/2]
The whole country is joining Western PA in cheering for Marc Fogel as he returns home after 3+yrs of unjust imprisonment in Russia. This is what every American should expect from their government—we’ll fight to bring you home. And of course, I had to welcome Marc back with a nice cold Iron City🍺
After the Norfolk Southern derailment hurt my Beaver Co constituents, there was a lot of tough talk about not forgetting East Palestine. Now, 2yrs later, politicians afraid of the railroads are still carrying water for their corporate bosses & strangling rail safety bills like mine. Grow a spine!
So my office is sharing some resources that may help as I oppose any plundering of our government or defunding of public services, like law enforcement, veterans’ care, Social Security, and more. (2/2) deluzio.house.gov/issues/resou...
I represent thousands of federal workers who live in Western PA and serve the American people. A lot of them have told me they’re worried about their ability to do their job free from political interference. (1/2)
If not, tough talk is just a bunch of political theater to justify plundering our government to make way for robber baron tax giveaways. (10/10)

Alignment stats consider only votes where a clear yes/no majority existed for the legislator's party. Cross-party marks divergence where the vote matched the opposite party majority. ↔ indicates cross-party divergence.
