I reminded Mr. Lutnick that the last time we had a trade surplus was during the Great Depression — let's not go back there.
Never thought as a former writing professor, I would be giving economics lessons to the Commerce Secretary, but here we are.
Trump's chaotic tariffs are rooted in an arbitrary fear of a trade deficit, but a trade deficit means Americans are buying goods — a sign of financial security.
Migraines & headaches can be debilitating.
That’s why I visited Headache on the Hill’s installation — flags stretched across the national mall to represent the 40 million Americans living with headache disorders, including veterans.
More research can make a world of difference for those suffering.
The United States is the indispensable nation around the world.
By sowing chaos and cruelty at home, this Administration is failing to be a leader for peace.
Thank you to the AP Gov students from Kutztown High School for making the trek down to D.C.!
It was such a pleasure to speak with Pennsylvania students right in the center of the U.S. Capitol.
Our students are our future — and with this group of young people, I'd say our future is bright!
Happy Pride! 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
Glad to join Lower Gwynedd Township to raise the pride flag — a celebration of our LGBTQ+ neighbors.
You are seen. You are loved.
Join me for a Telephone Town Hall this Thursday!

Ending the week the best way possible — with Rocky’s cheesesteaks!
If you’re from Glenside, you know that Rocky’s is a family-owned institution.
As we end National Small Business Month, I was excited to stop by and wish their fantastic team a happy 44th anniversary!
Congratulations to our 2025 Congressional Art Competition winner — Rayne, of Upper Dublin HS! 🎨
Rayne’s artwork, “Perfection,” will proudly represent PA-04 at the Capitol.
And congrats to our runners-up: Nicole and Anastasia of Abington HS!
Thank you to our students for sharing their talents.
Secretary Rubio is our nation’s top diplomat.
Yet he failed to justify massive budget cuts to the State Department and USAID — which act as our voice around the world.
Americans deserve better from our leaders.
I’m praying for Yaron and Sarah's families, for the Jewish community, and for our nation. We will not tolerate hate.
May their memory be a blessing.

Outside the Capital Jewish Museum — at what should have been a clear moment of unity for young diplomats who want to make the world a better place — they were murdered in an open, violent act of antisemitism.
What a devastating loss, and what an utter nightmare.

Yaron and Sarah were two bright lights — a young couple dedicated to building bridges between the U.S. and Israel, and peacemaking around the world.

Today, House Republicans passed a bill that sacrifices critical programs for millions of everyday Americans to pay for another tax cut for the rich.
My full statement:
Not sure why Mr. Mast tried to ignore my question about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
But I *did* ask a question — and the American people got an answer.
I hope and pray Sec. Rubio's answer was true, and that aid begins flowing into Gaza now.
The Department of Education was founded so that every child could get a quality education — regardless of zip code.
This administration seeks to shutter it.
Secretary McMahon’s legacy will be one that hurts the future of our students.
Today, Secretary Rubio sat before the Foreign Affairs Committee.
I implored him to do more for Gazans. To do more with our humanity.
Gaza is starving as food sits right across the border. We cannot stand idly by.
With the school year winding down, I was delighted to meet with our PSEA Student Task Force one last time at Spring-Ford Area High School.
Our district is lucky to have so many smart, thoughtful young leaders.
Wishing them all a safe, well-deserved summer break! ☀️
DOJ's charges are baseless — and a clear attempt by Republicans to intimidate Members from holding this administration accountable.
I stand with Congresswoman McIver. Part of our job as Members of Congress is to conduct oversight – including of ICE facilities.
Yet when she and her colleagues arrived, they were met with verbal and even physical aggression.
