This is a startling breach of privacy.
Anyone who pays taxes shouldn’t have their desire to follow the law used against them. Trump’s immigration plans were never about catching criminals – they were always about discriminating against immigrants who are trying to do everything right.

Heartbreaking news out of East LA this morning. As we wait to learn more, I’m closely monitoring the situation and praying for the victims, their families, and loved ones.

I’ve been working for years to help Burbank Airport deliver its new, safer passenger terminal, and I’m proud to announce that they’ve received a new $8 million grant to help bring the airport into the 21st Century!

LA is ready to represent America on the world stage — but we need this Administration to invest in transit to move tourists, athletes, and residents. Looking forward to working together to make it happen.
At today’s House Transportation & Infrastructure hearing, Transportation Secretary Duffy committed to partnering with me and Los Angeles to make the 2028 Olympics.
The murder of 20-year-old American Sayfollah Musallet by Israeli settlers in the West Bank is horrifying and unacceptable. I am praying for his family and loved ones.
The U.S. must demand accountability to the full extent of the law and act to protect its citizens.
Crypto is a new horizon, & there’s a lot of bad actors & scammers that are trying to take advantage to scam you. That’s why I introduced an amendment to the GENIUS Act that would prevent foreign & unregulated stablecoin issuers from accessing U.S. markets, & improve anti-money laundering measures.
It’s a simple move to protect our families and there’s no reason anyone should reject it.
Stablecoins are a hot topic, but like anything new and flashy, we need to make sure the American people are protected from potential risks.
That’s why I’m introducing an amendment to the GENIUS Act that would require stablecoins to meet commonsense standards like other financial products.
Scammers are using Crypto ATMs to target & exploit our seniors to the tune of $1.6 billion in crypto fraud.
That’s why I just filed an amendment to the GENIUS Act to implement new anti-fraud policies and empower law enforcement to crack down on scammers.
Trump’s latest move: cut $7 billion in investments for our children’s education and teachers’ development. These investments aren’t optional, they’ve been appropriated by Congress and signed into law.
I’ve joined my @HouseDemocrats colleagues to demand that this funding be released immediately.
Have questions about your Medi-Cal or Social Security benefits? Drop by the Edendale Branch Library in Echo Park anytime between 12 – 3pm this Wednesday, July 16th to get help!
My staff deal with a wide range of federal issues everyday, and they’re ready to assist you.
We need to unplug the production of housing adjacent transit so Californians can live affordably & conveniently.
Read my op-ed with @RepScottPeters here:
https://www.ocregister.com/2025/07/07/we-invested-in-mass-transit-we-should-let-californians-live-near-it/
NEW OP-ED: Californians have invested billions into public transit, but current State and local laws limit how many of us can live near high quality transportation hubs.
It’s also a warning that AI can carry the biases of its creators, and should be used carefully and within a regulated framework.
The X AI chatbot Grok made blatantly antisemitic comments right after @ElonMusk touted that it had been “improved”. This is unacceptable and incredibly alarming.
That’s why I joined my colleagues in demanding accountability from X AI. We must not accept this as the new normal for AI.
The Trump Administration is trying to roll back LGBTQ rights; but communities like West Hollywood keep pushing forward.
Honored to join APLA Health for the opening of the new Michael Gottlieb Health Center, expanding care where people need it.
Masked ICE agents. No names. No badges. No accountability.
That’s not law enforcement — it’s intimidation.
Proud to help lead the No Masks for ICE Act with Rep @NydiaVelazquez to bring transparency back to immigration enforcement.
Read more about the bill here:
Instead, they’re randomly picking up our neighbors in order to hit an inhumane human quota, while denying them the due process and civil rights protections they’re entitled to by law.
Trump & ICE promised to go after dangerous criminals. These profiles of who they’re actually arresting don’t match that promise.
