In the IC that I know, Tulsi Gabbard would not be granted a basic Secret Clearance let alone be given access to the highest clearance levels and top secrets. She would not be given the responsibility to manage the IC’s 18 agencies and $76 billion annual budget.
From my work as a member of the House Intelligence Committee, I know it's essential that our Intelligence Community (IC) agencies work together seamlessly that our allies trust them and us.
If you're concerned, call the White House and let Trump know. 202-456-1111 or 202-456-1414.
His inexplicable hatred for that, which makes us a trusted world power and ally, will cause considerable interruptions to vital aid and make the world less safe, healthy, and secure for everyone — including Americans. This is a giant leap backward for the U.S.' global leadership.
This is the “soft power” that the United States wields better than anyone to influence nations and create peace. Elon Musk has shamefully, ignorantly called USAID "evil," claiming that it is "time for it to die."
President Trump's violent dismantling of USAID will have horrific consequences across the globe. USAID sends food to starving populations, helps establish access to clean water, supports sustainable energy development, and provides medical aid that stops the spread of diseases.
Despite President Trump and Elon's continued attacks on the employees and services making life easier for our citizens, the IRS Direct File program remains available for use this tax season. apnews.com/article/irs-...
Last week, I shared information about the IRS Direct File Program. This free, accurate, and easy-to-use online government service simplifies the tax filing process for millions of Americans.
If you're worried about this, call the White House and let President Trump know. 202-456-1111 or 202-456-1414.
They now have unfettered access to the Office of Personnel Management’s (OPM’s) human resources databases containing highly sensitive personal information on all of us, including social security numbers. Our private data should not be available to a billionaire and his posse.
I am outraged by Elon Musk’s recent attacks on federal employees. These nonpartisan civil servants are the backbone of our government and are being subjected to continual harassment by Elon Musk and his makeshift unvetted team.
On what would have been Rosa Park's 112th birthday, I celebrate and honor her example of persistence in the face of inequity and injustice. Happy Black History Month!
February is Black History Month, dedicated to celebrating Black excellence. Unfortunately, President Trump wants to erase this history and push us back to a dangerous time in our nation's past. He equates diversity with incompetence, which is just plain racism.
And thanks also to Justin Trudeau for agreeing to pause tariffs for 30 days.
Thanks to President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo for giving America an extra 30 days to try to pump the brakes on President Trump's irrational and unworkable tariffs. www.wsj.com/opinion/dona...

So what can We, The People, do now? Flood their zone. Speak up. Call the White House, Senators and Representatives. Tell them what you tell me — because they are the ones in charge right now, and they are the ones doing the damage instead of acting in your best interests to make your lives better.
Elections have consequences, and despite having the majority, it appears there's little that elected Republicans are willing to do to stop him. You should ask them why that is.
Trump is governing by executive order because he can't govern by legislation — and because he doesn't want to. Even with Republicans controlling the House, Senate, and White House, he's using an unelected — and in many cases unconfirmed — posse to weaken democracy and endanger the republic.
You're supposed to be so overwhelmed and frightened, confused and anxious that you opt out of the process and keep your head down. That's exactly what Trump and his team want. Much of what Trump has done in the first 14 days has been unconstitutional and/or illegal. And that's by design, too.
