Since this person (who was actually quoting a famous writer without attribution) blocked me, I'll just clear this up by explaining that the advice he was sharing was "Write with as much urgency as if there was a gun in your mouth." Again: Do not.
All of this "Write as if nighttime lightning has guided you to earth's last remaining inkwell" stuff...honey, no. Sit down at your desk or laptop or whatever. Lower the stakes. Try something. Nobody's looking. The goal is to just get it down so that you have something you can fix.

What I say: "I must have done something when I was lifting at the gym."
What I mean: "I dropped a spoon on the floor and attempted to pick it up."

The thing I did not see coming in the NYC mayoral debate is Sliwa giving Cuomo one savage beatdown after another. If I were the former governor, I would go home and cry.
Eric Adams dropped out...and Cuomo actually lost support.
