Seth Magaziner

Seth Michael Magaziner is an American investment professional and politician serving as the U.S. representative for Rhode Island's 2nd congressional district since 2023. A member of the Democratic Party, he previously served as the 31st general treasurer of Rhode Island from 2015 until 2023. Magaziner won the November 2022 election to succeed retiring representative James Langevin.

There will be many lessons to take from the tragedy at Brown. One is this: spreading baseless theories and false accusations online causes real harm. Innocent young people have had their lives upended by reckless online speculation. It is damaging, and it must stop.
Great news! Jim Brown’s wife Donna has been released & the deportation case against her has been dropped. A happy ending to one of many tragic stories of innocent people whose lives have been ruined by the Administration's reckless and cruel immigration enforcement practices.
In the face of the horrific shooting at Brown University, people came together. I would like to take a moment to express my gratitude to law enforcement, firefighters, EMTs, healthcare workers, and all who acted with courage and compassion when it mattered most.
Devastating that Ella Cook and Mukhammad Aziz Umurzokov  will never get the chance to graduate and fulfill their dreams. I am praying for their families and the Brown community as they grieve the loss of two bright young lives.
Tonight the House of Representatives stood in silent remembrance of Brown University students Ella Cook and Mulhammed Aziz Umirzokov, and in honor of all impacted by the shooting. Thank you @amo.house.gov for leading and to our many colleagues for joining.
Earlier this week, Kristi Noem told me under oath that she has not deported veterans. I then introduced her to one that she did deport. But it’s much worse than that: @moulton.house.gov got DHS to admit that they’ve deported at least 8 vets and are planning to deport dozens more.

Magaziner: How many US military veterans have you deported? Noem: We have not deported military veterans. Magaziner: We are joined on zoom by a gentleman who is an army combat veteran who was shot twice while serving our country. You deported him to Korea.
