As members of Congress, it's our job to conduct oversight, & that's exactly what @replamonica.bsky.social did at an ICE facility this year. Now, Trump is attacking this honorable Black woman for holding his lawless administration accountable—but we won’t let him. We stand with Rep. McIver.
I’m going to continue to show up to protect us, to protect the people of the 10th Congressional District, of New Jersey, and of this country. Because we need protection, and we have to continue to hold this administration accountable.
After our pressure, @nationalgrid.bsky.social announced a payment plan opportunity for federal workers & contractors impacted by the Republican government shutdown. Those needing assistance should call their hotline without delay: 1-800-322-3223. I call on @eversource.bsky.social to follow suit.
Thousands of federal workers & contractors in Massachusetts are missing paychecks because of the Republican govt shutdown. That's why I’m urging @nationalgrid.bsky.social & @eversource.bsky.social to make sure the electricity & heat stay on for their families. No shutoffs, late fees, or interest.
Healthcare costs are about to skyrocket for millions of families in Massachusetts & across the country. And where are House Republicans? On day 31 of their vacation. It’s time for Republicans to get back to work, re-open the govt, & address the healthcare crisis they created.
Happy #Diwali to everybody celebrating the festival of lights in the #MA7 and around the world. Light will always triumph over darkness. Wishing you and your loved ones love, light, and happiness during this joyous holiday.
Our girls are limitless. It was so fulfilling to co-host our Girl Scouts at the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for a special civic engagement day. They were sworn in as "Senators for a Day," drafted legislation, delivered floor speeches, & encouraged to step into their power.

Instead of reopening the government and addressing the healthcare crisis they created, Republicans are willing to let hospitals close and people's healthcare costs double. It's shameful and our communities deserve better.
Right now, Mohammed Ibrahim, a US citizen, is being held in an Israeli prison. His health is deteriorating. The circumstances are desperate. The United States must use every avenue available to secure the release of this Palestinian American child.

Republicans have never been serious about the care, health, & future of all our children. They want to ship middle schoolers to prison & rip them from their families while protecting predators like Trump & Epstein. We need real, sustainable solutions to keep our kids safe.
As Members of Congress, it's our right & duty to help folks abducted by ICE connect with their family & legal counsel. But the Republican govt shutdown & closure of ICE's congressional relations office is preventing us from doing just that. They must reopen the government NOW.
More than 35,000 #MA7 residents are at risk of losing their healthcare coverage if Republicans let ACA tax credits expire. None of this is acceptable and it's 100% preventable. Republicans need to re-open the government NOW and address the healthcare crisis they’ve created.

Amid shutdown, Rep. Pressley asks Eversource, Nat.Grid to keep lights on for federal employees
Trump is using the shutdown HE CREATED as an excuse to keep firing our dedicated federal workers. Workers who have been doing their jobs for decades and keeping our Commonwealth and country running. This is unlawful, and every single one of these workers must be reinstated.
It's been two weeks of this Republican manufactured shutdown.   Two weeks in which real people & real lives have been disrupted.   To our shared constituents: Democrats are fighting to protect your healthcare & your livelihoods.   Our fight isn't over, and we won't give up on you.
Every day the Trump Admin fails to act, more student loan borrowers are pushed closer to financial ruin. This isn’t just a policy failure—it’s a moral one. That's why @warren.senate.gov & I are demanding Trump & Republicans address the student loan default cliff before it's too late.
Millions of student loan borrowers at risk of default as late payments climb
We’re witnessing a coordinated Republican assault on Black political power—from attacks on the Voting Rights Act to redistricting Black & brown leaders out of their seats. The Supreme Court must uphold the VRA & defend the sacred right to vote. Our democracy depends on it.
Breaking news: The Supreme Court seemed open to further limiting the use of race in drawing legislative maps, a move that could undermine the last major pillar of the Voting Rights Act, which bolsters the power of minority voters and candidates.
